"Very well equipped comfortable home. The welcome basket was wonderful and all the little touches made our stay very enjoyable. We couldn’t of wanted for any more. Fantastic weekend"
    Avril – 29 Sep 2019
"A lovely welcome pack and a tidy house but cleanliness bad. disappointed upon seeing the house initially as front driveway not welcoming as boat garden overgrown an unsightly .Beds need new mattresses.Too far from beach, and on a VERY busy main road. Overall not what I was expecting from the photos on web sites.Cathy very pleasant lady."
    Janet – 21 Sep 2019
"We had an excellent stay. Everything we needed was provided and garden is lovely. We relaxed in the sunshine and ate outside on occasions in an evening after visits to Brighton, Eastbourne, Battle and Rye. A week was not long enough! We did visit Canterbury Cathedral too. A fantastic location for lots of sightseeing and the dogs loved the beaches especially Winchelsea."
    Emma – 21 Aug 2019
"We had a lovely week staying at The Boat House. Very homely and welcoming, and very dog friendly. Lots of lovely touches which made our stay very comfortable. The road outside is busy, but we soon didn’t notice it. Great enclosed garden which our two dogs loved exploring and a fabulous games room. Loved the ping pong table! Really easy access to shops and attractions. We would recommend, thank you!"

"Had an absolutely fantastic break for a week here the house was beautifully clean and spacious enough for 2 adults 4 children and our 2 dogs. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise as was the doggy hamper also. The play room was great for the kids they really enjoyed the table tennis and magnetic dart board. The hot tub was fantastic to relax after a hard day and the fact there was wifi was brilliant I was able to relax in the hot tub and watch a film on Netflix too whilst having a small tipple. The beach and town centre was all but a 10 minute drive from the house. Plenty of supermarkets about including lidl. 10 star rating from me. The only couple of things I would say and they are very very minor was that the house is situated on a roundabout so best to approach from the left, second I wish I had booked for longer :) thankyou for a lovely place to stay."
    John – 24 Jul 2019
"Overall our stay at the boat house was excellent. The garden and hot tub are lovely and the only negative comment about the house would be that it is starting to look a little tired inside but so much that it concerned us at all. We would certainly consider staying again if we were ever to visit Hastings again but that’s the one bad part ... Hastings is showing a lack of TLC by the local council and it felt a little run down. It’s a shame as it has so much potential. It’s also not a very dog friendly resort with lots of anti social orders in place about dogs but very little about where dogs are welcome. A real shame as the Boat House was perfect for our fur baby ... he loved it :)"

"Had the best time here. Really great host. Will return."
    Debbie – 13 Jul 2019
"The Boat House is a quirky, boat themed, home from home. It has everything you need for a lovely stay. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a games room, gym and a very nice covered hot tub.It is well located for local amenities and places to visit and there are good places to eat nearby. The only thing that stopped me giving it 10/10 for all categories is the busy road and roundabout on which it is situated. The owners also provided a very nice welcome basket which we thought was a lovely touch. The garden is fully enclosed making it very safe for dogs and there are good dog walks nearby. It is also worth mentioning that many local pubs/eateries/attractions are dog friendly but, unfortunately, the beaches are not (in the summer)."

"Very comfortable, nice welcome gift, beautiful garden, close to bus stop with direct connection to the city and coast"

    Stan – 1 Apr 2019
"The Boat House was a themed cottage which is perfect for all age groups. It has bags of character and ideal facilities to have fun, work out or totally relax. It is nicely situated to visit Hastings and other nearby attractions. Furthermore the owners were very welcoming with a lovely hamper and on hand if one had any questions or unforseen mishaps. We cannot 'big up' The Boat House enough and we have already recommended to friends and family and hope to revisit in the nearest future..."
