Once a farmworker’s cottage, this detached hideaway has been thoughtfully reimagined into an intimate one-bedroom escape, perfectly suited for two.
From the moment of arrival there is a sense of gentle seclusion. Surrounded by open fields and wide skies, the cottage feels wonderfully private, inviting guests to slow down and settle into an easier rhythm of life.
Inside, the atmosphere is warm and quietly inviting. Soft natural light falls across locally made clay tile floors, with underfloor heating adding comfort throughout. A palette of muted tones, natural wood and carefully chosen furnishings creates a space that feels both stylish and relaxed. The open plan living area forms the heart of the cottage, an easy place to cook, dine and unwind together. Mornings begin slowly here, with coffee at the kitchen table as the countryside wakes beyond the window, while evenings lend themselves to unhurried suppers and easy conversation.
On cooler days, the wood burning stove becomes the focal point after long walks through the surrounding landscape. Settle into the sofa with a glass of wine as the fire quietly crackles. When the weather is warmer, open the French doors and step straight out into the garden, where uninterrupted views stretch across the High Weald.

The cottage was tucked away down a lane in the grounds of a farm. Inkpen cottage is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and extremely well furnished. King size very important and comfy. Ajoining wetroom shower, beautiful. The kitchen area has everything we needed and more, including a sweet dining table for 2. The lounge area with a comfy sofa, footstool, and side tables facing the TV and log burner. I imagine in the Winter that its very cosy! Doors to the garden with table for 2. Steps to upper level of garden with great views, the hot tub , sheep in the ajoining field , bench, table and chairs . Parking to left of cottage, one level. The area is quiet. The neighbours are the owners . Lee is a great hostess. Our towels washed/changed .half way thru the week. Intresting info about the history of the farm invluding the war years. Hope this cottage will become our bolthole.

Lee & Simon accommodated us for a last minute booking. Absolutely stunning cottage and farm. House was immaculate and the farm was peaceful. Did I mention there was a hot tub? Perfect for unwinding during the stay. Planning our next stay soon!
