In a quiet, leafy, residential area of Hordle on the southern edge of the New Forest is Shanzu House. This modern chalet-style home, is homely and comfortable. The rooms are bright and spacious, and the sunny conservatory is ideal for relaxing whilst the children play in the safely enclosed lawned garden. In the dining room you can be the pub landlord at the small bar (bring your own bottles), or in the kitchen there’s a breakfast table for a less formal start to your day. A small office provides a quiet space to catch up with a good book or emails. A double bedroom with smart en suite shower-room on the ground floor of Shanzu House make this property suitable for those who are less mobile. On the first floor are two further bedrooms – a light and airy king-size double and a twin with small single beds (2’6’’). They share a family bathroom. The village of Hordle is a great base from which to discover the best of coast and country with heath, ancient woodland and of course the resident New Forest ponies right on your doorstep. Lymington is a popular sailing resort, and has a good variety of shops, boutiques, pubs and restaurants. From here you can take a ferry to the Isle of Wight. Further afield the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu is a fascinating place to spend a day, and when the sun shines, the sandy beaches at Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole are some of the best in the area.

The charming market town of Lymington is situated on the west bank of the Lymington River at the western end of The Solent, at the southern edge of the New Forest National Park.
