Just 10 yards from the nearest beach at Sandown, this family-friendly holiday apartment is ideally situated to explore the island.

These beautiful third and fourth floor apartments (refs 29356 and 30851) take full advantage of their impressive position, with panoramic, direct sea views across Sandown bay, with its miles of golden sand. Sandown is a truly traditional beach resort and is the ideal location for any family holiday. There is a pier with amusements, children’s play areas, pitch ’n’ putt, the Isle of Wight Zoo and Dinosaur Isle at the northern end of the esplanade towards Yaverland and Culver Cliff. Other island attractions include Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK, and The Needles, with chair lift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay, and are only a short drive away. Also worth a visit are Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Pearl Centre, Dinosaur Museum, Donkey Sanctuary and Calbourne Water Mill which has a 17th-century working watermill. Other attractions include Osborne House and Gardens (Queen Victoria’s holiday residence), Carisbrooke Castle and the sailing town of Yarmouth. Cowes in the north west of the island is renowned for its sailing. Also within easy reach are vineyards and quaint villages, some with thatched roofs such as Godshill, Old Shanklin and Brighstone. Visit Shanklin Chine, a deep wooded gorge with waterfalls, streams and various plant life. Properties 29356 and 30851 can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 guests. Beach 10 yards. Shops 50 yards, pub and restaurant 10 yards.

"Fabulous place to stay with beautiful views out to sea. Plenty of room for five of us. Warm, cosy, comfortable. Previous reviews had warned us about the heavy fire doors but the door stops provided solved that issue. We also knew there would be lots and lots of steps up to the apartment but we didn’t have a problem with that and the views make up for it! Would definitely recommend."

"We had a lovely stay and the apartment had all we needed. The apartment is furnished to a high standard, with top end bathroom and en-suite. The parking wasn’t really an issue if you use the parking app as the whole esplanade is the same zone, we had a space every day and on our last day moved the car opposite as always spaces available in the mornings. All round a great place to stay."

"This is our 3rd year staying at “S14351” apartments . Facilities are great everything you need and more for a great stay. The restaurant at the reef bar and restaurant below the apartment is fabulous food is great and the staff are friendly. So nice to be so close to the beach and wake to the gentle sound of waves ."

"We had a lovely family break here. It is in a good location, right opposite the beach with parking on the road. There are shops and restaurants in walking distance which was a bonus.We would come back again."
