Before heading upstairs you will find a spacious utility drying room, extremely useful for putting all your wet beachwear in at the end of a relaxing day on one of the areas many superb beaches. Up on the second floor you will find the master bedroom, with a galleried balcony and a fabulous view from the magnificent window. Outside, to the front, is parking for three cars and a small lawned area where you can sit and relax whilst planning your adventures for the next day. Just a half mile walk away from the cottage is Totland beach, or a little further afield is Colwell Bay and the fantastically popular café restaurant, The Hut. Walk the other way and youre in quaint Freshwater with many local shops, restaurants and cafés. Alternatively, take a breathtaking walk up to Headon Down, a fantastic place to blow away the cobwebs and visit the Bronze Age burial mound surrounded by heather, rosebay, willowherb, centaury, dwarf gorse and tormentil, all perfect for the rare Dartford Warbler which happily breeds here. Take a picnic and enjoy some of the best island views, especially at twilight when the sun is beginning to set. A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location.
