Ferry View Cottage in Looe, Cornwall, is praised for its great location with beautiful views, proximity to local amenities, and suitability for families with teenagers. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and the extra space. The property's multi-level layout and the steep access road are noted, but its charm and amenities seem to outweigh these concerns.
Most guests found the cottage clean and well-presented. However, there were a few mentions of areas that could have been cleaner, such as dusty skirting boards and a mold issue in the ensuite, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and convenience to shops, restaurants, and activities. The steep access road is a challenge for some, but the overall sentiment about the location is very positive.
Guests report the cottage as homely with comfortable beds and a relaxing lounge area. Some noted the house could be chilly, and the steep layout may not be ideal for young children or those with mobility issues.
The property is well-equipped with a variety of utensils, a washing machine, and good storage. However, there were issues with a broken toilet seat, a hissing radiator, and a damp ensuite, indicating some maintenance concerns.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house with balcony and views over Looe . The main thing to be very aware of is access to the property as the road is difficult to negotiate and we ended up parking in the car park ( it’s cheaper to pay for a week in Mill pool car park ). There are also steep steps down to the property.

Highly recommend this lovely property, clean, excellent quality bedding and fixtures/fittings and of course the location is fabulous!

This is a lovely cottage, with plenty of space. The living area is fantastic open and airy with delightful views over Looe. The sitting area and balcony is great. The kitchen is very well equipped and there’s plenty of space to store your food and supplies. We all found the beds very comfortable and the storage for clothes was very good . The lower rooms felt a bit a damp and chilly so we put on the heating in the evenings. Both showers were really good pleats of hot water and good pressure. The house is up a very narrow sloping road that is quite challenging and if you have a very large car or an anxious driver it would be very difficult and stressful. There are steep steps down to the cottage too. Which if you had a mobility issues or had small children or babies wouldn’t be ideal. The location for everything is fab though. Easy to walk around Looe, get the bus or the ferry. shops , beaches and restaurants are lovely friendly people everywhere. Definitely would recommend
