There is a good village pub, located about 10 minutes' walk from the property. The village of Snape is just five minutes away, with three excellent pubs for food and home to the world-famous concert hall at Snape Maltings, where there are numerous events all-year-round. Guests can enjoy the popular, vibrant coastal town of Aldeburgh with its wide selection of shops, eateries, pubs, award-winning fish and chips and an excellent independent cinema. Further up the coast is Southwold with its famous Adnams Brewery, pier and again, excellent selection of shops, cafés and restaurants. The popular fishing village of Orford is an easy drive, with its magnificent castle enjoying far-reaching views, a variety of pubs and the famous smokehouse and wonderful Pump Street Bakery. Friston is a village civil parish in Suffolk, England. During the 19th century, over half the population were people under the age of 20. The village boasts the wonderful Friston Windmill, which is a Grade II listed post mill and dates back to the early 19th century. It is considered one of the tallest post mills in England. The River Alde runs just South of the village. A beautiful rural location with plenty of nearby rivers, footpaths and countryside fields.
