About this property

This cosy cottage is nestled in the village of Westleton with plenty of walks and cycle paths to explore and only a short drive away from Aldeburgh.

Chestnut Cottage is ideally located in the quaint village of Westleton just a short drive from Dunwich, rspb Reserve Minsmere and Southwold. The cottage backs onto Westleton Village Green and is a thirty second walk from the duck pond where a gorgeous heron can be spotted. The village shop and post office is a stone's throw from the front door and the pub is a short walk down the road; ideal! The property boasts a beautiful two level garden which is accessed from the sun room and has a side access gate. The bespoke, handmade solid wood kitchen was designed and made by a local craftsman and the stone floors add to the charm of this cottage. Shop: 60 yards Pub: 150 yards.

Westleton is a pretty village midway between Aldeburgh and Southwold, with the coast at Dunwich only two and a half miles away. Centred around a large green, Westleton is one of the most popular places to stay on the Heritage Coast. It is an ideal base for the beach or for Minsmere, as well as the coastal heaths and forests. There are two good pubs, a restaurant and well-stocked village store/post office - all in the village centre. Much of the area around the village is accessible open heath or mixed woodland.
