Step inside to find a lounge with exposed wooden beams, a fireplace with a wood burner-effect electric fire and homely decor around the two comfortable sofas. There is also a dining table with seating for four. Continue into the bright farmhouse-style kitchen which is bold blues and calming creams, a characterful wooden door and a breakfast table. Upstairs is a family bathroom and two bedrooms – a king-size with an en-suite and a twin room. Outside you can find a large garden with shrubbery, a BBQ and seating which leads down to the gazebo which offers views of the River Yox.
The sleepy village of Yoxford is an excellent base for exploring the nearby Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers a local pub (0.5 miles) if you’re in need of a night off from cooking. Head east to reach the rspb Minsmere nature reserve (5.5 miles) where you’ll find hiking trails, a tea room, woodland and wetland. Next to this is the National Trust Dunwich Heath and Beach (6.5 miles) where you can go for a dip or stroll along the seafront. Discover the local history at the 14th-century Leiston Abbey ruins (5 miles).

This is a lovely cottage in a great location. We really enjoyed eating breakfast in the front garden and the late afternoon in the 'back' garden for afternoon tea or with a drink.
