Guests have enjoyed the amenities, particularly the bath in the main bedroom, and the property's suitability for events like engagements and weddings. The location offers stunning sunsets and is central for visiting friends and relatives, though some guests noted limited walking options due to nearby roads.

The majority of guests found the property very clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The location is central and quiet, ideal for visiting nearby towns and beaches, though some guests expressed concerns about the proximity to dangerous roads and limited walking paths.

Guests generally found the property comfortable, with a special mention of the cosy atmosphere and the bath in the main bedroom. However, one review mentioned an uncomfortably small second bedroom.

Facilities are highly regarded, especially for cooking and entertaining. The grounds are appreciated, but there were comments about the lack of indoor eating areas and restrictions on garden use for pet owners.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

About this property

Indulge in a restful retreat at this beautifully decorated barn conversion. Enjoying spectacular rural vistas, gorgeous historic features and a sunny patio where you can wine and dine to your heart’s content, it’s ideal for couples, friends or small families wishing to explore the natural beauty of Suffolk’s coast and countryside.

Pale and neutral colours used throughout give this former farm building a dreamy feeling, and they contrast beautifully with rugged timber, tile and brick. The open-plan living space is pretty and inviting, and you can stretch out on the sofa while reading, listening to music, watching the TV or simply doing nothing. The U-shaped kitchen has all the equipment a cook could want, and you’ll dine at the breakfast bar which is illuminated by gorgeous pendant lights. There’s also desk space for anyone who has to keep up with admin. The shower room and bedrooms are on the ground floor, too – a delightful single room with a pitched ceiling and beautiful brass bed, and a wow-factor king-size which boasts a sofa, mirrored screen, French-style armoire and a free-standing bath. Relax in the sun on the south-facing patio, enjoying a coffee or a sundowner, or even taking a meal outside to enjoy as the sun sets.

Pantiles is part of a complex of barns including Bobby's barn, Dove Barn and Marsh Farmhouse.

From this idyllic rural area you can reach the charming town of Beccles in just 5 miles, where quirky independent shops mingle with excellent places to eat and drink. Feeling adventurous? Head to the coast at Covehithe, where the secluded beach is only accessible by foot or by bike. Southwold, 10 miles away, couldn’t be more different – fun, vibrant and buzzing, it’s a great day out, whether you want to partake in the amusements on the pier, try some local seafood or take a tour of its famous brewery.

Pantilles Not suitable for a week holiday for three adults, 2nd bedroom a converted larder very cold, as we paid for our dog we were told not to use the gardens , only small patio with metal table and chairs, very happy there was not a wedding reception as we were right next to it.Also would have been nice to have a table and chaired to eat from. As we had booked a week for a dog walking week , we were shocked to find you cannot walk very far as both ways lead to a very dangerous road . So for these reason we left after three days , we have better walks in Brighton .

Loved the location but not the cottage - my daughter and I and dog did not appreciate staying in the honeymoon suite (my husband recently died) - my daughter stayed in the suite and I stayed in the extremely small bedroom which was dreadful - nowhere to put clothes except on 3 hangers which were on a curtain rail to a window in the wall to a dark store room - bizarre!
