"Beautiful location with plenty of walks from the cottage. Liked videoing the birds of prey hunting above the cottage. So much to see within 1 hour drive, will need to come again."
Tony – 29 Sep 2018
"S70486 is a beautiful, peaceful, country cottage within easy reach of all local amenities. Ideal for one person up to eight. Plenty of room and comfort. Unfortunately we were without TV throughout our stay due to an aerial problem (reported on day one but not fixed). That said, we didn't come to S70486 to watch TV ! Our experience was still fantastic due to local walks and places of interest, plus the friendliness of the local people. A wonderful place."

"Asked for a high chair and cot which was confirmed on our booking details - cot was hidden in a cupboard on arrival, high chair not provided - inconvenient when we had a 7 month baby in the party. No welcoming pack - often milk, tea and coffee and biscuits are left for use on arrival but here there was nothing to welcome us! There was an extensive list of instructions - including notes in various places regarding the recycling and a killer pigeon in the shed!!Had to collect key from local pub and drop off afterwards - surely a secure key lock with a code could be used instead?Views were amazing and beautiful location for those who like to walk directly from the cottage."
Mary – 10 Sep 2018
"Me and my family loved it at S70486 cottage, its so cosy and well surplied with all that you could need. We loved it thank you so much."
Davinia – 25 Aug 2018
"Lovely cottage. So ideal for two families or to keep teenagers/ children in one area or separate as the cottage splits two ways. Well equipped for the eight of us. Plenty of hot water and the radiators were very efficient and easy to operate. Cannot fault S70486 at all. We all loved our stay (2 adults and 6 children aged 3 to 13)."
Alison – 22 Jul 2018
"Shower in down stairs did not work but loved the house"
Brian – 22 Jul 2018
"This is our second visit to S70486; we came back a year later because we enjoyed it so much the first time. We enjoy the complete privacy, the views of the Yorkshire hills and countryside, the sheep and cows and birds, and the attractions within easy driving distance. The cottage has everything one could ask for; someone thought very hard about what would make it comfortable for visitors. There are rugs and grab-rails pretty much everywhere. No cell service to speak of but the wi-fi works fine (though we did have to adjust the satellite receiver once after a cow shifted it a bit). We enjoy walking along the Nidd, and the views from Wath Lane above the cottage are spectacular. The convenience store in Pately Bridge is fine for most purposes, and easy to supplement with superstores in places like Ripon. Simply put, this is a great place, and we will be back."
Tina – 7 Jul 2018
"This was our 2nd stay at this lovely cottage and would definitely stay again. It's comfortable, peaceful and you can just chill and enjoy the beautiful view. Would highly recommend."
Stuart – 10 Jun 2018
"A lovely cottage in a superb location with fantastic views. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. On part of a working farm surrounded by grazing sheep and cattle. Plenty of walking available from the doorstep, again, with wonderful views all around. Would not hesitate to recommend “S70486” to anybody looking for a peaceful location in beautiful countryside."
Dawn – 24 May 2018
"This cottage was absolutely beautiful both inside and out. Fantastic views of the countryside and very peaceful. The cottage was perfect for 4 adults with each double bed at either side of the house with plenty of privacy. A short walk to the pub and also a reasonably short walk into Pateley Bridge. Plenty to do in the area as well. We will be coming back."
Reginald – 17 May 2018
"Enjoyed our short stay at S70486. The location is ideal if you want a tranquil break away from the 'hussle & bussel'. We toured the area and were very impressed with the friendliness of the 'locals and the wildlife.Would stay again."
G – 5 Apr 2018
"Great place in a great location, with the Sportsman Inn pub and restaurant being half a mile away. The Walking is superb.Slight issue with the grill, only worked on the outer edge, grilling bacon just didn't.Used the microwave, pans a bit random also.Everything else really good though."
Phillip – 20 Jan 2018
"A beautifully located cottage however the accommodation was very much a game of two halves. The part with the kitchen, master bedroom and sitting room were nice and cosy but the part where you come in was much less comfortable and was quite chilly. The second bedroom is not really a double in that it is quite cramped and the bathroom and lower bedroom were uninviting."
Hilary – 16 Jan 2018
"A lovely comfortable cottage in an amazing setting. Well equipped - everything needed for cooking Christmas lunch including an efficient oven! Lots of information provided about both household appliances and instructions as well as the local area. Very thoughtful provision of Christmas decorations too!Ideally situated for visiting the Dales, Bolton and Fountains Abbey, Ripon and Harrogate, as well as some lovely walks from the house. Pateley Bridge is very charming. We met some really lovely, friendly and helpful people, particularly on our snowy leaving day where the neighbours cleared the road and helped us with our cars. Would highly recommend - we were very sad to leave."
