Muker is a fantastic place to visit all year round and is an ideal base for exploring the National Park. The scenery is second to none and there is excellent walking and cycling from the doorstep. There are walks to suit all abilities - whether you prefer a gentle stroll or something much more challenging! Long distance paths, the Pennine Way and Coast to Coast Walk meet in the village, or you could attempt the evocatively named ‘Corpse Way’ - a medieval route from nearby Keld to the (then) nearest burial ground at Grinton. For something a bit different, you might even try a spot of alpaca trekking!
A great visitor attraction all year round is the Wensleydale Creamery in the lovely market town of Hawes, six miles from Bramble. Great visitor centre, cheese demos and tastings and loved by Wallace and Gromit!
If you are looking for adrenaline adventures then you will find a great range of activities locally, including climbing, abseiling, mountaineering, canoeing and kayaking.
