A cosy mid-terrace cottage resting in the honeypot village of Grosmont, the centre of ‘Heartbeat Country’ and famous for being the home of the North York Moors Steam Railway. Perfect for couples wanting to get away for a while, or steam enthusiasts, 7 Office Row promises a relaxing break all-year-round. The sitting room is centred around an electric fire to warm those cooler nights, with a television and selection of books and dvds. Board games are also available for entertainment. There is also a classic kitchen and a dining room for up to six people, so you can all come together for a home-cooked meal. After the sun sets, cosy up and enjoy the effect of the multi-fuel stove. A modern bathroom completes the ground floor with a shower over the bath. Upstairs, discover three bedrooms; all presented in a lovely fashion with a king-size double looking out over the fields and countryside beyond. There is an enclosed front garden which faces west where you can enjoy the evening sun, and rear courtyard. The village of Grosmont has a general store, post office, book shop, cafes and a pub. It makes a great base for exploring the many pretty farming villages along the Esk Valley and the wider North York Moors National Park, as well as the small fishing villages along the North Yorkshire Coastline. A unique holiday experience not to be missed.
Grosmont itself lies in the centre of country and is famous for being the home of the North York Moors Steam Railway. The Railway has been preserved and run by enthusiasts since 1973 and today carries upwards of 300,000 passengers a year. The village has a general store, post office, book shop, cafes and a pub.

Note: 60kg bag of fuel for the stove provided October to April; this can be sufficient for a week but is dependent on guest consumption and more may be desired.

Greeted with a musty smell and grubby armchairs, dated kitchen and bathroom and a loose bracket on the handrail on the steep stairs .The whole place needed a top to bottom refurbishment . Can't believe that people think it's acceptable to let a place like this as a holiday home. It was so awful that we put our bags back in the car and returned home after a couple of hours. Very disappointing .

Upon arrival we found the cottage to be of good cleanliness. It felt very warm and welcoming. Lovely views to be had from the front of the cottage. It is in a lovely little hamlet called Grosmont and is ideally situated for visits to Whitby, goathland, Scarborough etc. A visit to Whitby Abbey is a must. I found the owner, Andrew, very accommodating. The wood/coal burner took some getting used to, but it was a fun, learning curve..!! Once mastered (which didnât take long..!!..)..we had constant hot water and heating.The stay was fabulous and will definitely be booking here again. Would definitely recommend a visit.

The car parking was a little confusing but the next day a sign was up to indicate parking area .A lovely cottage met our needs for location and needs .
