We stayed in Albatross Lodge 1, the lodge slept 10 and there was plenty space.The lodge itself is in a great location, right next to a stream which ran around the back of the lodge, the scenery was stunning. There’s a few faults with the lodge, it’s got quite a few bumps and scrapes now, fridge freezer Ice machine doesn’t work, broken curtains, flooring and cracked decking, it needs a freshen up all round.The hot tub is luxury but wasn’t very hot, I’m certain it wasn’t 38deg and you can’t change it.The location is very picturesque with a few walks.The site has a 9 course golf course which is £15 for the day and it’s £10 to hire clubs, it looks well kept.The kids activities were on, we went swimming which was quite expensive, also archery which you only get 17 shots for your hour slot.The takeaway was never open when we were there instead pointing you to the restaurant to collect, there is an app you can order food on. We ate at the “local pub” which is owned by the site, it wasn’t good, £6.95 for a cheese and ham sandwich, the staff were poor, mixed up the order, were slow and really didn’t give any good customer service.The restaurant (the view) was better, we went in a few times for a drink and ate there on our last night, tables over 6 people have to pre order which sped things up, service was better but still average.There was a kids arcade we used a few times that had a mixture of games that worked and lots that didn’t.There is one person on “the desk” helping customers, dealing with bookings and granting access for swimming, they always appeared hashed.We got an Asda delivery to the lodge for £3.50 which was really reasonable considering how remote the place is, there is little outwith the complex unless you drive for 30 mins to get to the next village, we did hire a boat (separate company) for £75 for 3 hours, this was probably an hour too long.On the whole we accepted the compromises so we could get away, it’s not a cheap break by any means (5pm check in and a 9am check out, essentially writes off 2 days) but the kids really enjoyed it and we all enjoyed the scenery.

Lovely surroundings and large Lodge great for large family gathering. Lodge maybe needs a bit of an update.
