The rear garden outside this cottage in Aviemore is fully enclosed and private, and the small, front enclosed garden has a seating area. Within a few minutes' walk there are good local services, and a pretty pathway leads right into the town of Aviemore where the array of shopping and dining out opportunities is vast. Visitors to this area can choose between fabulous walks and cycle rides in stunning scenery, winter guests may wish to take advantage of the skiing on offer and thrill-seekers can participate in quad biking, rock climbing, gliding or canoeing. A fabulous destination, where you are sure to love your stay in this Aviemore cottage.
Situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, Aviemore is an ideal holiday location. The area offers good fishing, walking in the surrounding hills and woodland, and golf with its fine courses. There is also sailing, riding and bird watching, with rare species to be found including Ospreys and Capercaillie. The landscape is dotted with historic castles, tempting distilleries, and is known to millions as the setting for the TV series "Monarch of the Glen". You can fish on the River Spey all summer and winter or ski on the Cairngorms and at the Lecht ski centres.

If your planning to eat out best to book , many places short of staff and of chefs this year , we found this in lock Lomond also (our previous 3 day stop ) .

The cottage is beautiful, clean with lots of space & plenty cupboard space. It is well situated just outside Aviemore main centre & if you are a steam train buff you won't find a better positioned property as the steam train runs right by the garden. Our Springer Spaniel had a great time running round the 2 fully enclosed lawns. This property is definitely dog friendly unlike some other properties where dogs haven't got the freedom to run about because the gardens are not secure. We would love to visit Strathisla again.

Itâs in a great location in a very quiet area with a coop and pizzeria within walking distance. There is a lovely scenic and quiet walk from the cottage into Aviemore beside the Strathspey railway. The cottage is extremely clean and homely, very cosy and comfortable and fully equipped with everything you are likely to need. An added bonus is that such a lovely cottage is dog friendly and both front and back gardens are secure. Iâll definitely be booking again.
