Skiing and snowboarding, mountain and quad biking, climbing and hill walking, and a variety of watersports on the nearby rivers and lochs are just a few of the activities available. Take a trip on the Cairngorm Mountain Railway, or pay a visit to the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre or the Highland Wildlife Park at nearby Kingussie.

    Within a few minutes’ walk are the lovely Spey Valley Golf Course and the Dalfaber Resort with its wonderful array of leisure activities. Further afield, take a trip to the beautiful west coast and the Isle of Skye. Alternatively, a day trip to the Orkney Islands is well worth the effort. Visit the little fishing villages and beautiful beaches along the Moray Coastline, which featured in the top 20 best coastline destinations in the world.

    "Large house with everything you need for a great holiday. We really enjoyed our stay. P.S. ASDA and probably other supermarkets deliver from Inverness which saves a lot of time, trouble and space in the car. Arrived at 4pm, full weeks food shopping delivered at 6pm to the front door."

    "House itself is adequate and it is in a quiet location, garden is nice with bird feeders and even saw a red squirrel feeding after filling the feeders. The property is sadly let down by the owners lack of attention to major faults although reminded many times by previous tenants. On arrival we had to trudge our belongings through the back door as the key for the front door is partly broken, this is the main exit and obviously a fire hazard as it couldn't be opened easily. Also fire related is the overuse of extension leads my grandson's room had one squashed tight against the bed which could have caused overheating, house needs a fire inspection asap. The toilet seat in the main bathroom is broken and bath in the main bathroom is unusable as the bathplug is about 3 times smaller than the hole!! My daughter was looking for a relaxing soak during the week but no luck!! No information on bin collections at all. Kitchen is good size but sadly lacking in basic equipment, house is for 6 people but only 3 cereal bowls, microwave but no microwavable bowls, no ovenware (serving dishes, casseroles or baking trays) although a phone call resulted in a delivery of some plastic boxes? , metal baking trays and casseroles on Wednesday. Neighbours we spoke to said they were inundated with tenants complaints about the property and the lack of concern shown by the house owners. Not impressed by the owners who appear to ignore repeated comments showing what is required."

    "Lacked kitchen equipment none of the issues in the book had been actioned from years ago Freezer still leaked no information on rubbish disposal Broken rail in wardrobe held up by sellotape cracked glasses 3 pudding bowls no baking trays or dishes fag ends around front door house we think managed by a company I was disappointed with it Felt like no one cared Too many plastic flowers Windows needed a wash We have used welcome to book a few houses and was disappointed on the standard this time someone the houses is lovely but needs some care and attention"

    "Overall lovely place to stay. Quiet location but close to amenties. Only downside key to open main door difficult to open and bins full and no info to say when the bins had to be put out."

    "Upon arrival everything looked spotless. Upstairs was very clean, beds really comfortable. Only issues downstairs was outside and kitchen. Patio doors need a good clean as mould round edge and general clean around windows and doors and a spot of pruning in garden but overall very clean and quiet. We cleaned kitchen sink very kitchen products under sink and came up like new, so a wee bit more care and attention when cleaning but would definitely come back again as other than a few minor issues was a very pleasant stay and fab location for Aviemore."

    "We enjoyed our stay and the accommodation and location was good. However the house was lacking the little things we would have expected in self catering. We had to buy our own baking trays for cooking in the oven. There were no dishwasher tablets, bin liners etc and there were only two wine glasses. Small things I know. Also the floor in the lounge was filthy under the sofas and we had two toddlers who played on the floor and their toys kept going under the furniture and coming out covered in dust and fluff. Lastly, the outside general and recycle bin were both overflowing when we arrived on Friday and no information anywhere about what to do with them. I phoned the caretaker, who I incidentally, found very helpful. She thought they were collected on the Monday. By that time we had lots of rubbish of our own to add to the bins and had to leave out in bags. Needless to say, animals had got at them and the neighbours were not happy with the mess everywhere. I do not think new guests should arrive to overflowing bins and have to tidy up other peoples' rubbish when on holiday.Despite all this it was a good holiday."

    "We loved our stay at S70380. Great location , 10 minute walk in to Aviemore. Beautiful house, in a quiet culdasac. Our only negative would be, that garden needs a tidy up eg bushes needing cut back & no grill pan!! Oh a hot tub would be a great addition."

    "Three bedroom detached house on a housing estate, basic clean accommodation, very comfortable beds. brand new bathroom with excellent power shower. Ensuite needs updating. Heating all turned down to minimal on arrival, house felt very cold as storage heaters had no heat in them, suggest owners set timers to no 5 input and 2/3 output for guest arrival and that electric heaters have guide to the dial located at the back of the heater, we found it after searching on our hands and knees, no fun after nine hour journey. Great price for basic accommodation."

    "We enjoyed our holiday however I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the downstairs of the property eg cobwebs and dirty placemats which was an issue for me. I couldn't fault the upstairs with clean bathrooms and bedrooms."
