Venture towards the north of the Isle of Skye to explore the wonderfully historic Skye Museum of Island Life, built to preserve a township of thatched cottages as they would have been during the 18th century. The Quirang, one of Skye’s most popular locations is a short drive away, as is Uig harbour and the gateway to the outer Islands if you fancy a day trip to the Uists.
