About this property

Portree 6.2 miles. Situated on the edge of Loch Snizort, boasting wonderful country and loch views from every window, is this superb white-stone bungalow. The Hollows is the ultimate choice for a relaxing holiday break to a lovely rural destination, perfect for friends and families alike. Entering the property into the porch - perfect for taking off muddy boots and coats - you will then go into a spacious sitting room, where you can catch up with your favourite shows of an evening and with a wood burning stove that will keep you warm during those chilly winter months. Walk through to the open-plan kitchen, housing a range of modern appliances so you can rustle up a delicious home-cooked meal for the whole family, whilst the dining area acts as a social space for family gatherings. Venture into the three well-presented bedrooms, all on the ground floor and consisting of two king-size doubles and a single - the ideal setup for all types of groups wishing to stay here. Delight in the family bathroom which provides an elegant bath and walk-in shower so you can decide how best to prepare for your day. Although you are afforded rural loch side tranquillity, the whole house is covered by super-fast fibre broadband. If you are bringing equipment for outdoor use, a lockable shed to the rear of the house is available for bikes, canoes, or perfect for hanging wet outdoor gear. Take a snack or a refreshing drink out to the rear garden area, where you can simply enjoy the outstanding views across the loch. The sunset is a magical view and the tidal Loch provides the opportunity to see a huge variety of wildlife with many wading birds feeding at low tide. Otters also frequent the loch and can be seen from time to time. Being so close to the water gives a large variety of activities and fishing and boat trips are available nearby. Venture into the former fishing village of Portree, now a thriving coastal town housing a range of attractions for you to explore and the chance to buy fresh supplies or eat out in a variety of restaurants. The Lump is a wonderful hilltop situated near Portree Harbour with a 19th century watchtower and boasting plenty of walking trails with sea views. Venture towards the north of the Isle of Skye to explore the wonderfully historic Skye Museum of Island Life, built to preserve a township of thatched cottages as they would have been during the 18th century. The Quirang, one of Skye’s most popular locations is a short drive away, as is Uig harbour and the gateway to the outer Islands if you fancy a day trip to the Uists. Return to The Hollows for a relaxing evening with your loved ones in front of the wood burning stove and although you are afforded rural loch side tranquillity, the whole house is covered by super-fast fibre broadband, sure to keep you connected to the outside world if you choose. EPC Rating: Band E

Set round its natural harbour on the stunning and tranquil Isle of Skye, charming Portree boasts an excellent range of shops, hotels and restaurants. Cultural attractions are plentiful; the Aros Centre is well worth a visit with its programme of concerts, theatre and cinema. Sports enthusiasts are also well catered for, with sea kayaking, rock-climbing and a good choice of well-marked walks. The rock formations are particularly spectacular; Trotternish Ridge stretches for 31km of continuous cliffs, with many fantastic rock forms and pinnacles. Dunvegan Castle and the Talisker Distillery Visitor Centre are just two more reasons to visit this magical isle.

Een paar tips heb ik wel: de vlotter van het toilet in de badkamer is kapot, spoelt niet goed door. Misschien nieuwe tegels in het keuken gedeelte. en misschien kan er ook een likje verf op de buiten kant van het huis.
