About this property

2 Old Mission Hall is a fab holiday cottage close to the Anglesey Coastal Path and only a short distance from the sea.On the first floor of the holiday cottage you’ll find an open-plan area with windows the full length of the room - this means it’s a bright and cheerful space to relax in.

This is an upside-down holiday cottage! You’ll find two double bedrooms on the ground floor which both have TV monitors with the nice addition of Amazon Firesticks for your use. There is also a family bathroom which has a shower over the bath, towel radiator, loo and hand basin.

Upstairs you’ll find that the kitchen is well-equipped and has all the essentials you need to make a self-catering holiday in North Wales that little bit easier. There’s a good-sized oven with Range style hob, a fridge with a handy freezer compartment, microwave, Dulce Gusto coffee maker and wine cooler. The dining area seats six people comfortably. There is ample seating in the lounge area which has some excellent modern touches in the form of a Smart TV, an XBox 360 and an integrated Bose audio system. There is also an electric fire in this part of the room for chillier nights in.

The third floor, in the eaves of the roof, is another twin room, this time with an ensuite wet room with loo and hand basin. Please note that this room is only suitable for children.

Outside, there is one allocated parking space at the front of the building.

Close by is a sandy beach, namely Cemaes Bay. You’ll also find plenty of history to interest you, such as the Porth Wen Brickworks, the Martian-like landscapes surrounding Copper Kingdom and the Cemlyn Nature Reserve. There are walks and even a golf course - a truly versatile holiday can be had in this part of Anglesey.

Bull Bay, or Porth Llechog in Welsh, which means "sheltered bay", is a picturesque seaside village on the northern coast of the Isle of Anglesey. It is the most northerly village in Wales, and boasts wonderful coastal scenery, with the island of East Mouse lying within the bay, which is rocky, shingly and offers rockpools for shrimping and crabbing. The village has a hotel with restaurant and bar, an excellent golf course, wonderful scenic walks along the renowned Anglesey Coastal Path and exciting fishing and bird watching. 1.5 miles east is the old port of Amlwch, and Parys Mountain, where visitors can enjoy the Copper Mine Trail Walk amidst the old ruins of what was once the world's largest copper mine in the 18th century. Amlwch's harbour dates back to the Middle Ages, and once was a thriving port. Enjoy the medieval town of Beaumaris, with its 13th century moated castle, museums, excellent shops, pubs and restaurants, a sea zoo, Plas Newydd mansion, or take a day trip into Snowdonia, or visit Dublin from the nearby port of Holyhead.

The property was clean and had everything and more we could have asked for. The welcome gifts were a very nice touch and meant that even though we arrived quite late, we weren't under pressure to rush out for food. Great location for exploring and when the weather was too grim outside, there was plenty to keep us entertained in the house. We would definitely recommend.

The house is very well furnished, with everything you could ever need available. The upside down style suits the house perfectly, and the open plan living /kitchen is bright and air, and very comfortable. The bedrooms were well furnished, with coat hangers and a hairdryer. The upstairs wet room was great, with a great shower, and views of the sea (if you peeped through the Velux windows). We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay.
