Llanerchymedd is a former market town resting at the heart of Anglesey. It was once home to the cobblers industry with over 250 shoemakers in the town and numerous corn mills. Today, the village houses a village pub serving food, a village shop, a chip shop and launderette. Close by is the freshwater reservoir at Llyn Alaw which offers a circular walk and the coastal village of Moelfr is seven miles away.

William, Leah and family are excellent hosts who were there if needed but not intrusive. The hot tub was fantastic and we enjoyed using it almost every day during our stay. Our daughter and grandson were very excited to be able to hand feed some of the newborn lambs. The cottage is very peaceful and quiet yet only a short walk from the village. Nowhere on Anglesey is more than 30 minutes drive away so the cottage is ideal for exploring the entire island. This was our first time visiting Anglesey but will certainly not be our last.

Everything was provided including a lovely welcome pack of goodies. It was spotlessly clean and in an ideal setting. The hot tub was lovely and very well maintained. A great addition to this beautiful holiday home. The owners were lovely and friendly, very helpful and happily sorted out the heating timer for us as you have no access to this at all. (This, we would say, is the only downside - we couldn't access the heating timer ourselves, however we appreciated this as some people may take advantage!) This definitely wouldn't stop us from returning though as everything else about the property was lovely and we would highly recommend it. We didn't want to leave! One of the things we loved was waking up to sheep in the fields and snow on the Welsh mountains. Thank you Beudy Tyddyn, you really were just what the Dr ordered.
