    With use of a shared indoor swimming and games room in the nearby hotel, children won’t want to leave!. Shared indoor swimming pool. These purpose-built holiday cottages (refs 24574, 27255 and 27257) have been constructed or converted from the original farmhouse buildings and an old Welsh longhouse. Welsh craftsmanship at its best - only the finest local tradesmen and materials have been used for the conversion of these buildings. They are situated in an elevated position on the edge of Broadlay near Ferryside on the old pilgrim road to St David’s Cathedral a half mile from the Three Rivers Hotel and Spa. Guests are welcome to use all the facilities at the hotel such as the swimming pool. There is generous amenity space, dog walking paths and a country adventure play area for small, accompanied children. The complex is on the local bus route which connects to Carmarthen via the hotel and Ferryside railway station. In the opposite direction, Kidwelly and Swansea are en route. Ferryside is uncommercialised, peaceful and quiet; the ideal getaway for a perfect weekend (or longer) break. It is also, due to its proximity to Carmarthen, Llanelli and other centres, an ideal corporate meeting place. Kidwelly, with its Norman castle, industrial heritage museum, Pembrey Country Park and Motorsport Centre, within approximately 10 minutes’ travelling time. The National Botanical Gardens, Laugharne (famous for Dylan Thomas’ Boathouse) and many Pembrokeshire attractions are about half an hour’s drive. There are many places to visit including Dylan Thomas’ cottage, where he spent the last years of his life. The Millennium Coastal Cycle Path, part of the national cycle path network, meanders through approximately 20 miles of local coastline, passing through local areas of interest. Places to visit include Kidwelly Castle, the Penclawydd Wildfowl Centre, and the Loughor Estuary with views of the Mumbles Peninsula south of Swansea. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Shared indoor swimming pool (12m x 6m, depth 1.3m to 1.5m, open daily 9am - 8pm) with changing and shower facilities, Jacuzzi, gym, sauna, steam room, games room and solarium (in hotel, 500 yards). NB: There are farm vehicles on display and significant drops within the grounds. No smoking.

    "Great getaway family holiday, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of places to visit and the beach is lovely walks. Cottage could do with a bit of TLC but would go back again."

    "I was disappointed with the cleanliness on arrival. The cottage itself and the layout is lovely I’d even go as far as to say I’d like to have a house just like it. I wasn’t happy with a certain staff member at the main building down the road, he was very rude when we wanted meals having been told in the day we could arrive any time later in the evening for food by another staff member. On the night in question they were massively under staffed and I was made to feel awkward and uncomfortable ordering food for 6 people in an empty retaurant having arrived about 8:10pm. For the staff member in question some customer skills and people skills are advised"

    "Great area for exploring the sandy beaches of SW Wales. The staff at the hotel (who run the cottage) are very friendly. The cottage advert left us assuming the swimming pool was at the cottages - it isn't - it's over half a mile away down a lane I thought was unsafe to walk along due to it being so narrow and having no footpath. Once there the pool is lovely. In today's connected world I would have expected wifi and mobile connectivity as a must have, especially considering the overall price of the rental. A minor issue was the crockery and cutlery - looks like mismatched leftovers from the hotel. Again with the price being paid, I would have expected a nice matching set for the number of guests. There was a note left on the window sill telling us about the welcome nibble and tipple, nice touch except there was no tipple, only a pack of welshcakes. What could have been a nice touch backfired. The settees has seen better days and ought to b replaced. Overall it's a nice cottage and these minor issues will not stop me returning."

    "We had the most fabulous time, walks to beach, Hotel, were welcome, the cottage was well equipped, Cosy, lovely and quite, just what we wanted, we had no WF but for us it was a blessing, you could however walk two seconds away, and it came on, it was lush, quite peaceful, the locals were welcoming, Hotel management and staff were fantastic the meals were lardge and amazing, short walk to beach, dog friendly, would highly recommend,"

    "This cottage is amazing with the added bonus of the use of a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, bar and restaurant at the Three Rivers Hotel. The hotel is down a very steep hill but within walking distance. Although there are areas which the hotel could improve they are cosmetic and pale into insignificance when you experience the hospitality, the quality of the food and the effort put in by the staff. They can certainly throw a New Year Party."

    "The cottage has potential but there are issues. The kitchen needed a good clean before use. There is no WiFi which should be the norm for this type of rental. The washing machine is in an outbuilding next to the sit on lawnmower and we did not chance it's use. The TV was on the small side. Heating was difficult to fathom, either too hot or too cold. Mobile reception is non existent so lack of internet is really felt. The cottage is owned by the local hotel, when checking in the receptionist did not know which keys to issue or where the property was. You have use of the hotel gym and pool, unfortunately the hotel does not seem to open over Christmas, when we did see the facilities they were in a poor state of repair.They area is great with some good walks, country parks and great beaches."
