About this property

Positioned near the North Wales coastline in the village of Y Felinheli, sits this charming holiday home, The Seahorse. Set over four floors and just moments away from a beach, this pet-friendly accommodation welcomes families, friends and their pooch. On arrival, locate a roadside parking space or leave your vehicle in the close-by car park before exploring the delightful interior. Step inside, where you will find a sitting room with solid wooden flooring, a crackling woodburning stove and a Smart TV; here you can unwind with the comfort of the Smart TV. Moving through the property, discover the open-plan living space, where the chef of the group can prepare delicious meals, courtesy of the electric oven and hob. When dinner is served, gather around the dining table to tuck-into your feast and why not uncork a bottle of fizz to celebrate the occasion? Afterwards, a dishwasher offers a fuss-free clean up, as you head upstairs to enjoy a soothing soak in the bathroom or make use of the shower room to rinse the day away. When you're ready for sleep, choose between four bedrooms, with a double and en-suite on the lower-ground floor, another double and a twin bedroom on the first floor, as well as a double on the second floor. Awaken with a steaming cup of coffee as breakfast is being prepared and make an itinerary for the exciting day ahead. A short stroll will lead you Traeth Rowen; here you can soak in the coastal sights and afterwards enjoy local ales and home-cooked meals at the 200-year-old pub, Garddfon Inn. Visit the royal town of Caernarfon, home to a waterfront castle, Anglesey Sea Zoo to marvel at sea creatures and a great selection or restaurants for when you fancy dining out. History buffs may wish to venture to the village of Llanberis, where you can have a guided-tour around the National Slate Museum, immerse yourself in the past at the ruins of Dolbadarn Castle and hop aboard a steam train to admire the rolling countryside. For a gorgeous setting in North Wales, stay at The Seahorse.

Between the historic town of Caernarfon and the cathedral city of Bangor, Y Felinheli, originally known as Port Dinorwic, is located on the magnificent Menai Strait. This small village has a couple of pubs, a restaurant and cafe in the dock area, a shop and Post Office, a beautician, a hairdresser, and several great restaurants on the nearby Island of Anglesey, as well as a small, established yachting marina with an interesting lock (allowing boats to enter or leave before cruising down the Straits to the open sea).

Great location for exploring the area with plenty of local amenities on the doorstep. Only downside was the issue with toilet, which everyone did their best to resolve but unfortunately the unpleasant smell returned.

Good location although parking could be difficult at times. Nice pub serving decent food next door. Housekeeping team very responsive to an issue we had (unwell child). Disappointed there isn’t a washing machine in the property.

So clean, of a high standard and in a quiet area. My kids really enjoyed it, round the corner from the sea, 5 min walk to the marina and in a car, you're only 15 mins drive away to so many places. The house is really big and has everything that you need. We will definitely be back in the summer'.
