With the living accommodation on the first floor, large picture windows make the most of the wonderful views over the wildlife pond and the beautiful countryside surrounding the cottage. The two exquisite bedrooms on the ground floor have built-in wardrobes, and both have external doors to the pretty patio areas. The main bedroom has a most unusual bath, filled with a waterfall instead of the usual taps. Wake to the dawn chorus of birds, and you may see pheasants or even receive a visit from the woodpeckers and kingfisher. From the granite worktops to the surround sound system, nothing has been spared to ensure the quality and desirability of this superb cottage. Enter by the patio doors on the ground floor or the wonderful external stone steps into the living area, and you may well decide to just stay in and enjoy the relaxation, but do take a stroll around the wildlife pond or through the woodland, or venture out a little to explore this beautifully scenic part of Wales. The countryside walks, the cycle paths, the historic castles and the renowned restaurants in the area all beckon you on wonderful excursions but you will be more than ready to return to this outstanding cottage, not only on this holiday, but on many return visits too.

The River Usk flows through the town, which offers plenty to keep every visitor happy including a castle with a museum; interesting churches; a bustling indoor market hall, and a great choice of shops, pubs and restaurants to appeal to all tastes and budgets. You'll find something different to discover everyday here â there's a wealth of fascinatingabbeys, castles, mining museums, and the Roman amphitheatre and baths nearby at Caerleon to enjoy when you come to this lovely area. The Wye Valley and the stunning Brecon Beacons offer fabulous walking, cycling and nature watching opportunities to those visitors who love the great outdoors.
