Charming Haverfordwest Cottage sleeping up to 6 guests

Nestling just outside a quiet hamlet, with wood burner and substantial grounds, this former vicarage offers peace and tranquility, five miles from the coast.
Nestled in an idyllic location within two acres of mature grounds and beautiful gardens, this well presented, detached house provides the perfect retreat for families or couples looking to explore the rolling hills and spectacular coastline of Pembrokeshire. Centrally located within five miles of the counties three main market towns, the cottage is situated just outside the quaint hamlet village of Rosemarket with its traditional village pub. The area is home to golden beaches, picturesque fishing harbours and rolling countryside, providing the perfect destination to unwind and relax whatever time of year you choose to visit. The stunning beaches of Newgale, Broadhaven and Whitsands are just a few worthy of a visit and are perfect for water based activities such as kayaking, surfing or coasteering. The property itself is adjacent to the owners’ home and was a former vicarage dating back to the 18th Century, which the owners have lovingly restored. Much of its original charm and character including original stone walls, beams and lots of welcoming touches have been added such as a traditional wood burning stove for those cosy nights in! Sit back and relax in the private gardens and enjoy the peace and tranquillity, or stroll the two acres of beautiful shared grounds which are teeming with wildlife and home to quirky nature trails, glistening stream and an ornamental pond which basks throughout the summer months. There is also an external games room/gym with gym equipment and Freeview TV, which is shared with any guests who may be staying in the adjacent camping pod (located in the shared grounds).
For an interesting day out, take a trip to Tenby and indulge in one of the many cafés, pubs and restaurants which are encased in the towns historic walls. Or head down to the tranquil harbour and relax on Europe’s ‘number one’ beach.
The nearby market towns of Narberth and Haverfordwest provide a perfect day out and are scattered with eclectic gift shops, art galleries, cafés and tasteful restaurants waiting to be explored. A visit to the county would not be complete without a trip to Britain’s smallest city of St Davids, home to its magnificent 12th Century cathedral and medieval ruins of Bishops Palace, or a sea safari around the off shore island of Ramsey, getting up close to seals, seabirds and the occasional dolphin on one of many boat trips from its harbour. The award winning leisure attractions of Oakwood, Blue Lagoon and Anna’s Welsh Zoo are within easy reach.

"We loved our week at S37734. David and Miranda could not have been kinder, more helpful hosts. We have stayed in dozens of cottages on our travels and S37734 is definitely one of our favourites: you can see the time, thought and care David and Miranda have invested in making S37734 a home from home. The house is a good size and the gardens enormous (perfect for our two labs); full of all the things you might need and more. The provision of extensive tourist info was invaluable to us since it was our first time in the area. We found the location perfect for exploring Pembrokeshire, with many beaches and attractions not far away (Tenby and Marloes - where we saw baby seals - being two of our favourite adventures!). Thank you David and Miranda for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable!Petrina and friends"

"S37734 is a lovely place with lots of character and homeliness and we would certainly recommend it to anyone. David and Miranda made us feel very welcome and have stocked the house with everything they could think of to make our stay feel home from home. The house is set in mature established gardens which are great to stroll round and have lots of exciting things for children to play on. Although the location is a little remote, we enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the setting and it is only a short drive to all the nearby coastlines. The local pub, which is only 10 minutes walk, does lovely food and we received a warm welcome. There are some fantastic walking places nearby and although we were only there a week, could easily have spent 2 weeks there, although the dog was shattered! There is lots of useful information provided at the house and as newcomers to Pembrokeshire, we found this, and David and Miranda's knowledge of the area, invaluable. We would definitely return and although didn't have children with us on this occasion would love to take our grandchildren next time. A big thank you to David and Miranda, for a wonderful stay."

"Had a relaxing stay. Nearby beaches were lovely. Disappointed that the photos online did not give an accurate view of S37734 - the gardens are now very overgrown and the gym/games room was unkempt. A shame as it could be lovely. The cottage is roomy, but we had problems with toilet leaking badly and the bathroom lights were faulty from the start of our stay."

"This was our 3rd visit to S37734 and we LOVE IT!!It is a wonderful place and offers us instant relaxation and calm. We always said that we would not return to a holiday cottage, so that we were seeing and experiencing other people and places. However, S37734 changed our thinking radically and we are already planning another return visit next year. We are a couple with 2 doggies. We are in our late 30’s and early 40s, and live in Buckinghamshire. We are love Wales and have been many times, but Pembrokeshire is by far our favourite area. S37734 offers the perfect base for a holiday in the region as it is superbly located. Whether you are very active or just prefer simple relaxation, S37734 is the ideal place for easy access to walking, fishing, cycling, surfing and so much more. Our favourite walk is a quick 7 mile circular route around Ramsay Sound, with the start point only a half hour beautiful drive up to St David’s. Pembroke Castle is a really good day out, and Freshwater West Beach is truly breathtaking in its natural ruggedness. Dave and Miranda are great people and have gone to exceptional lengths to make S37734 the fantastic place it is. Nothing is too much trouble, with Dave ensuring that your stay is as pleasant and trouble free as possible. They are also a brilliant source of knowledge about the area and places to visit. Dave recommended Dinas Head to us, and it was really worth going, the views were spectacular. S37734 has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Dave and Miranda really have thought of everything. S37734 has proven to be perfect for us, and our doggies, Maxy and Alfred, who noticeably love it too. There is something for everyone in Pembrokeshire, and S37734 provides a beautiful and tranquil base from which you can explore the area.
