S70549 is a superb family-sized property nestled adjacent to the River Teifi - a perfect base from which to explore northern Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Bay.
Unique and stylish are just two adjectives to describe S70549. An architect-designed detached house, the property lies in the village of Llechryd, just 3 miles inland from Cardigan Bay. Nestled in an elevated position, the house sits beyond its own private gated entrance, and offers secluded and enclosed gardens, boastong an enclosed toddler play space, with fantastic views over the Teifi Valley and the countryside. Ideally situated for a large family, this house definitely has the ’wow’ factor, with huge, full height feature windows that frame the view and flood the building with light throughout the entertaining and social spaces.

There’s an extremely spacious open plan living/dining room/kitchen with a catering sized range cooker, an eye-level wood burner and large bi-folding doors which open out onto a spacious decked terrace, ideal for al-fresco dining. There is a second living room (snug) with a large TV for a cosy evening relaxing. The ground floor also benefits from a double bedroom with its own sofas to make S70549 ideal for a large ’multi-generational’ family get-together. There are front and rear lawned gardens to enjoy as well. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms, the master bedroom being en-suite, as well as a separate family bathroom with a double bath and built-in TV.
The setting is perfect for making the most of both coast and countryside, with the superb scenery of the Preseli Mountains and Pembrokeshire National Park within easy reach. You can walk from the property into the village of Llechryd and join up with a walk that will take you directly to the Wildlife Trust Centre at Cilgerran, where there is also a castle. Visit the Teifi Valley and Gwili steam railways or the National Wool Museum at Drefach Felindre. The ancient town of Cardigan sits on the river estuary at the base of Cardigan Bay, and offers an array of shops, cafés, restaurants, cinema and theatre, as well as being home to a lovely castle, often the setting for outdoor events and with a panoramic restaurant. During the summer, an unusual tepee sets up in the town, offering dining under a canvas accompanied by live music on many weekends.

Pursuits such as golf, pony trekking and fly fishing on the River Teifi are all available, and the Coracle Centre at Cenarth Falls (famous for its seasonal salmon leap) can all be found within a few minutes’ drive. The sandy beaches of Poppit, Mwnt, Tresaith and Penbryn are an easy drive away, and many of the Ceredigion beaches are dog friendly throughout the year. A little further north along the Ceredigion Heritage Coast are the picturesque seaside villages of Aberporth and New Quay, where you can take a boat trip to spot some bottlenose dolphins.

World-famous, award-winning Caws Cenarth cheese is a must-try during your stay – why not take some home as a reminder of this special region of Wales with its thriving cultural identity? It’s perfect for a weekend break or a longer stay, with award-winning beaches, sandy coves, sea cliffs, caves and wonderful wildlife, spectacular sunsets and star-studded skies. Come and explore, make S70549 your base and appreciate what a superb holiday home it is. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

"S70549 certainly has the ‘wow’ factor. Light, sunny with superb views. From the photos it is unable to see just how much space there is to enjoy. We were a family of 6 adults (parents and grandparents) and 5 children ranging from the ages of 3 to 10. Adults and children had so many areas to use, escape in peace or just chill round the kitchen/dining area, while cooking evening meals. Such a socialable house with comfortable seating in all 3 living areas. The bifolding doors leading onto the huge decking area were another bonus adding even more dimension to the living space. The bedrooms were just perfect for our party, including a couple of options when a child couldn’t settle!! A TV with a luxurious bath was a hit with us all and another place to grab some peace from our excited youngsters! Weather was a little changeable but warm and sunny on several beach days. Lots of places and beaches to explore within easy driving distance. Best house we have stayed in and would recommend highly for a larger group. A small family might easily be overwhelmed but probably love it just the same! Didn’t want to go home and so much looked forward to returning to the house after our days out. Book it!"

"Fantastic break for the entire family consisting of 6 adults, 2 children, an infant, and a dog. House was spacious enough for all of us the peace and views were simply amazing. Sammy was an excellent host and was very helpful. Would recommend visiting MWNT (on Sammy’s recommendation) a beautiful beach but unfortunately not dog friendly (for those with dogs). Poppitsands was also lovely and is very dog friendly."

"We had a lovely family holiday with 3 generations. we all found the place lovely, spacious and well equipped. On the first night we rang the local takeaway but they were too busy for our order! The owners were great and immediately replaced the washing machine when it developed a fault."

"Fabulous house and the owner could not have been more helpful. Would benefit from a hot tub but other than that we had everything we needed. We will definitely consider going back."

"S70549 is a modern, slightly quirky, very spacious house with excellent facilities and equipment (plenty of beds to choose from!). The garden and decking area is huge and very safe for young children. There are lovely views over the county side to the front. There are a couple of garages with shops within easy reach and Cardigan is only a few minutes away by car. The road outside the house is quite busy but large gates make it safe for little ones. It does not cause any problems with noise as the house is set back and double glazed. The owner was friendly and helpful. Overall a wonderful holiday in a lovely house."
