A superb detached cottage located in an elevated position with, arguably the most amazing views out across open fields and countryside, situated on the outskirts of the village of Llanymynech on the Powys/Shropshire border. The ground floor has a fitted kitchen with plenty of space to cook, this leads to a spacious dining room with seating for all of the guests. After dinner, guests can retreat to the spacious sitting room and relax by the welcoming woodburning stove, or enjoy an evening in front of the TV. Upstairs, three individually styled bedrooms have some breathtaking views, with the main bedroom boasting a king-size sleigh bed and a balcony, a perfect place to enjoy an early morning cuppa. On warmer evenings, guests can enjoy a refreshing drink on the terrace overlooking stunning countryside views, enjoy long into the evening watching the sunset and with very little light pollution, star gazing into the night. The village centre of Llanymynech is a short walk away and offers a shop and pub and the market town of Oswestry is just a short drive away where there are a variety of shops and restaurants to try. The position of View Cottage to Offa's Dyke is literally a few feet and being close to the Llanymynech Rocks Nature Reserve and some five miles to the Berwyn Mountain Range, there is an abundance of scenic walks and cycle trails to explore. This beautiful cottage set on the Powys/Shropshire border is a brilliant base for discovering this beautiful area. Perfectly situated for National Trust and English Heritage properties, World Heritage sites, as well as a wealth of designated footpaths and bridleways. Llanymynech is a village straddling the border between Montgomeryshire/Powys, Wales, and Shropshire, England, about nine miles north of the Welsh town of Welshpool. The village is on the banks of the river Vyrnwy, and the Montgomery Canal passes through it. The border runs for the most part down the centre of the village's main street, with the eastern half of the village in England and the western half in Wales.
