The village sits at the foot of the Milltir Cerrig mountain pass, in the heart of the Berwyn Mountains in Powys. Full of character, this lovely stone-built cottage has a spacious entrance hall which leads into one of two cosy sitting rooms with comfy sofas and a woodburning stove in each. The large and well-equipped breakfast kitchen is perfect for families and friends to gather together around the country style dining table. A utility room with a useful drying rack leads out into the pretty side garden which provides a sunny spot to sit back and relax. The second, larger sitting room also has a warming woodburning stove set within the feature fireplace, perfect for snuggling up on cool evenings. Up the steep stairs are two lovely double bedrooms and a twin room all with en-suite facilities. The cottage is set within easy walking trails direct from the property, as well as being short drives away from other fantastic walks. The cottage itself has everything you would need for a comfortable self catering holiday. It has all the creature comforts and is set with fantastic views. Whats not to like. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who wants peace and quiet with all the facilities you require for a lovely holiday, with fantastic views.

Only down side was mobile phone reception but the Wi-Fi was good and we could use apps to make calls. There was 5 adults staying, all bedrooms were good sized with on suites, huge kitchen great for family meals, adequate living room space with nice log fire, cute little snug.

Good size rooms. Stairs a little steep, but not an issue for us. The mattress in the double bedroom was too soft for us, but that is personal preference. Great that each bedroom has en-suite facilities . Excellent kitchen , plenty of utensils etc, plus there’s a useful drying room. Helpful instructions sent to us by the owner prior to our stay., plus there is a folder with all the information you need in the cottage. No mobile phone signal in the cottage, but there is Wi-Fi. Great location, plenty of walks near by and plenty of lovely places to drive to. We were able to park 2 medium sized cars on the driveway, and lock the gates behind them. No shops in the village, but we had a day out at Llangollen, which is well worth a visit, and we stocked up on groceries there. Would definitely recommend to others for a peaceful break away.
