Holiday Cottages In Anglesey

Holiday Cottages in Anglesey

Hire any one of our Anglesey Cottages and you can look forward to enjoying the best of the Welsh Coast and countryside. The island's also locally known as 'Mam Cymru', which translates as, 'the mother of Wales'. This is in reference to the excellent quality of the soil, which was thought to be able to provide enough food to supply the entire country! Whether or not this is true we don't know but, with such an outstanding agricultural foundation, you can be sure that the eating's good in these parts. There are plenty of superb places to dine, serving delicious dishes made from local ingredients.

However, there's much more to Anglesey than farming and laverbread. Our Anglesey Cottages will put you within easy reach of 125 miles of unspoilt coastline, where you can find secluded bays, sprawling beaches and tranquil coves – perfect for a beach holiday! If beaches aren't really your thing, you can explore the lush countryside which, as the whole island has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Beauty, makes the perfect backdrop for our holiday cottages in Anglesey .

Why Holiday in Anglesey?

With spectacular sands, glittering seas and miles of stunning scenery, a holiday in Anglesey is ideal for family holidays and for couples looking to get away from it all. However, if this all sounds a bit too relaxing, there are plenty of opportunities to inject a shot of adrenaline into your downtime, too. The coasts are littered with challenging cliff-faces for rock climbers, while the famous Menai Strait boasts one of the fastest riptides in the UK, attracting canoers from around the world, who fancy a touch of white-knuckle water sports.

Anglesey is well supplied with top quality seafood, which you'll find in many of the coastal restaurants. If fish isn't your dish, you'll find plenty of inns serving traditional pub grub, and even some fine-dining restaurants for those special nights out.

For those who really enjoy getting their mouths around something out of the ordinary, Anglesey is home to the town with the longest name in the world Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. Good luck with asking directions to that one!

Whether your interests are outdoor, indoor, ancient or modern, our wide selection of holiday cottages in Anglesey will help you find the perfect base for your perfect break.
