Picture this… a Georgian fishing lodge overlooking Lough Muck set in five acres of land with trees and the occasional sheep. This is such a beautiful spot close to Killary and Little Killary Harbours with a beach, fishing and activities nearby.
Interiors are stylish and traditional with plenty of room for six guests. There’s a cosy sitting room with an open fire, a separate dining room and a well fitted kitchen. Outside the gardens overlook the lake, a lovely spot to relax with a book or sit and enjoy breakfast.
There are plenty of adventure activities available on the doorstep too, hire a boat, go sailing, climbing or take to the saddle and explore this beautiful landscape horseback. There’s also excellent salmon and trout fishing so we’re told! Head into the village of Leenane, just 6 miles away, situated in spectacular scenery at the head of Killary Harbour. A good place to pick up your day to day provisions. There’s also a pub and a choice of several restaurants. Get out and about and explore this scenic coastline. Visit Killary Harbour and Kylemore Abbey. This is a great base for exploring the spectacular scenery of Connemara with its many lakes, mountains and interesting and varied coastline and dark night skies.
