  Just had a long weekend with the family at Walesby House near Market Rasen. The house itself is beautiful and well modernised inside. Stripped wood floors with rugs and underfloor heating kept us all cosy in very cold weather, and the bedding, pillows etc. helped with that too! The house was very large so our grandchildren were able to move about freely without being told to stop. Bedrooms beautiful mostly with good views and very comfortable. The main bathroom was large with a free standing bath and large walk-in shower. The main ensuite was likewise large and nice to be in. Lots of toilets both upstairs and downstairs! There was a large lounge with an open fire and a Sonos sound system in this and other rooms. The kitchen was very well equipped, including instant boiling water, and with a very large range more than capable of cooking for 10. Good dining table with lots of room in a separate dining area next to the kitchen. The snug was very cosy and with a large television which was a great place for the baby of the family and still near to everybody. Utility room was well equipped with washing machine and dryer and lots of cupboard space. Several times we thought something was missing, but a good look in all the cupboards almost invariably turned up what was required. The snooker room was well used with a great half size table and the boot room inside the back (main) door ideal for outdoor equipment, coats and, well, boots! Garden was lovely (not completely enclosed) though the weather dictated that we stayed mostly indoors. Our children and their kids went to a local farm (Hall Farm) which they enjoyed very much, and though we didn't go, the house is not far from the East coast. Plenty of parking, and Tesco less than 3 miles away. Overall would thoroughly recommend for a long or short stay.

  We loved staying in Brambleberry Barn.

  It is beautifully spacious, clean and exceptionally well equipped. As we had our dog with us it was very important the garden was enclosed. It is and we could relax knowing he was safe. He loved the garden btw. We were blessed with wonderful sunny weather so the air conditioning in the living area was a great bonus. We liked the location being a short drive from Spilsby. It was very quiet with lovely views and a good base for different types of days out ( Skegness, Gunby Hall, Tattershall Castle,Woodhall Spa and the Kinema). Plus Thursday -Sunday a short walk to the Eaves Inn ( great food and staff). The furnishings inside the Barn were good quality. The gardener came while we were there and we saw how well kept it was. The farmer also cut and baled the hay in the field which entertained the dog! Minor maintenance is needed on the downstairs bathroom shower cord; upstairs smaller en-suite towel rail. Please check the living room rug for anti slip as we had to be careful with it folding up. Maybe consider a front gate as we were nervous the dog might slip past us when opening the front door. But it is a very quiet road and the dog enjoyed his ‘perch’ on the middle landing. Also a second front door key would be handy as we were 2 families with cars sometimes wanting to do different things. Thank you for this wonderful accommodation. We have recommended it to our sister and her adult children ( with dogs).

  Brambleberry barn is a beautiful, comfortable, spacious, light, quiet and warm place to stay.

  All the beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and there is plenty of good seating in the living room. All the rooms garden and hot tub enjoy fantastic views especially of the sunsets. The utility room was very useful with 2 dogs and the dog extras like towels and bowls were lovely. The garden is large and fully enclosed, even for my Yorkshire Terrier. The quality of the fixtures and fittings is plain to see. Our only niggle was the fact that the driveway is shared with the person in the annex, attached to the barn. We had no idea that there was a shared driveway or in fact someone else would be on site and we think Sykes should make that clear when promoting the barn. Although, the information given on Sykes said parking for 3 cars, when we looked at the photos, we realised that we could easily park 4 cars. We were a party of 4 single ladies travelling from different directions and needed the space so this was important to us. However, what we didn’t know of course was the fact that the driveway is shared! Luckily, we had small cars so we managed by careful parking but we feel this is an important fact to advertise!

  Beautiful little terraced cottage.

  Decor throughout is so lovely. Ideally positioned for visiting the cathedral quarter of Lincoln, with its cathedral, castle, cafes, wine bars and restaurants. Kitchen well equipped, modern and easy to use. Having two bathrooms is great - one on both floors. Bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. Two big sofas in the lounge made relaxing in the evening very comfortable. The only thing that was a challenge is the parking. The parking permit is super helpful but trying to park near the cottage was a challenge and I did not feel totally comfortable with not having the car nearby. Car was fine in the end and I’m not sure what the owners can do about such busy parking - perhaps negotiate with the windmill owners to see if they can rent a space in their unused car park and have a key entry system so that it remains private? It didn't impact our holiday at all. Would definitely book again.

  Millside is a beautiful property, perfectly situated to explore the wonderful city of Lincoln.

  The house was spotlessly clean, with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We loved having our breakfast and the odd evening drink in the cute little rear yard, right next to Ellis Mill which is worth a visit in its own right. There are plenty of shops within a very short walk, including a well-stocked Co-Op. As for pubs and restaurants, there are so many great venues, again within easy walking distance. We'd give a special mention to the Plough Boy pub just around the corner, run by the lovely Megan who became a real friend of the family during our week's holiday! Highly recommend this property if you're planning a trip to Lincoln, which I'd also recommend as it's well worth a visit.
