Big Cottages In New Forest | Over 30,000 Large UK Holiday Homes

Holiday Cottages in the New Forest

Given that the New Forest was named in 1079 by William the Conqueror, it can’t really claim to be that new at all. However, it is as pretty as a picture, boasting some of the most idyllic countryside that England has to offer. Full of tiny, unspoilt villages that wouldn’t look out of place on a chocolate box, and peppered with wild ponies, our cottages offer the perfect base from which to explore this dreamy part of the UK.

New Forest Cottages

While most people tend to imagine the New Forest as something out of Robin Hood, it does also sport one of the most spectacular coastlines in the country. Whether you fancy topping your tan up in the summer of taking a bracing walk in winter, there are plenty of beaches and coves to explore. The coastal walk from the harbour at Keyhaven is immensely popular, and the New Forest Tour blue route will help you uncover all those secluded bays and saltwater lagoons. Many of our

are a short distance from the coast, giving you the opportunity to be beside the seaside at any time of year.

What is there to do on holiday in the New Forest?

Many of our

holiday cottages in the New Forest

are ideal for couples looking to get away from it all and enjoy some quiet time together. With such a beautiful backdrop, you only have to step out of your front door to soak up the ambience. However, if you’re looking for things to do, you could always start by taking a trip to the village of Lover. Technically, it’s pronounced ‘low-ver’ – but who cares? Alternatively, Piper’s Wait, near Lyndhurst, is the New Forest’s highest point and has been the scene of many a bended knee proposal. The Knightwood Oak is a 600-year-old tree, with a circumference of over seven metres; well worth a visit.

If you’ve booked one of our

for your whole clan, you’ll need some days out with the kids in mind. Paultons Park is the home of Peppa Pig World; ideal for fans of everyone’s favourite porcine pal. For something a little less cuddly, get your children down to Liberty’s Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre. Alternatively, you can help them burn off any excess energy with a leisurely cycle along one of the Forest’s many designated routes.
