The cottage is just 1.5 miles from Reenard Point, a destination offering regular ferry services over to Valentia Island. This rugged and rural destination is one for walking trips and bike rides, complete with a seaside lighthouse, the fascinating Transatlantic Cable Station and a historic slate quarry. You’ll also find plenty to do on the mainland, including a trip to Cahersiveen (2.5 miles) with its varying activities, a trip to White Strand Beach (5.5 miles) and an afternoon at Portmagee Whiskey Distillery (7.5 miles) for tours and tastings.
