Schull is a vibrant fishing town with a bustling harbour, a lovely spot for relaxing and wandering around the craft shops and galleries and stopping off for lunch at one of the restaurants or pubs. Visit farmers markets, take a boat trip to Cape Clear Island or go whale watching from Baltimore.
The rugged landscape of the Mizen Head Peninsula has a visitor centre and Barley Cove Blue Flag beach designated as a Special Area of Conservation by the European Union, due to the variety of wildlife and interesting habitats present in the sand dunes. The area has many historic and archaeological relics. The property overlooks Crewe Bay which is a recognised wild bird sanctuary and will appeal particularly to nature and wildlife enthusiasts. Ballydehob is a colourful and vibrant village with some excellent restaurants including one with a Michelin star! The village is a hub for the arts and many musicians, artists, writers and sculptors have made it their home. Visit in the spring and join in the traditional music festival when many of the bars have folk bands playing. A toe tapping Irish experience!
