Styled to a high standard with contemporary lines and retro cool, Ville Venade is the perfect place to come back to after a long day exploring the area or to simply enjoy evenings in. Its picturesque position within lush countryside has been taken advantage of with doors running almost the entire length of the villa on one side.
The extensive open plan living space is partially sectioned into several areas, with the living room being a particularly luxurious place to relax. A comfortable seating area of sofa and armchairs is well-positioned for relaxing and socialising, as well for taking in the beautiful views across the garden through the patio doors.
An A/C unit ensures this area of the villa is kept particularly cool. Behind a partition is the dining area with an elegant table and chairs which then leads straight into a fully fitted kitchen. The large fridge freezer is perfect for stocking up on delicious local food, as are the spacious cupboards. The patio doors continue into the dining/kitchen area, so you can access the terrace from here too.
There are four well-equipped double bedrooms, of which one has an ensuite bathroom. All benefit from a natural ventilation system, thanks to electric windows. The windows are large and offer pleasant views of the outside space. A large shower room and adjacent toilet complete this area of the villa.
The patio doors in the living space lead out onto a large terrace with swimming pool and barbecue area. Mature gardens feature a range of established trees and plants within lovely lawned spaces. Enjoy views of the hills and rolling countryside as you take a dip in the pool or sit with an al fresco meal.
The villa is ideally situated for day trips out to the beach, with Caminha's sandy stretches being just 7 km away. Foz do Minho is a short distance from the centre of the town and you can stroll down the charming wooden boardwalk to the beach.
Set in an area of great natural beauty with pine forests providing sheltered conditions, there's a choice of activites on offer depending on whether you prefer the ocean or river. The strength of the winds and strong waves of the ocean make it ideal for windsurfing, whilst the river is more suitable for swimming.
The town is also on the estuary of the River Minho and so enjoys a riverside setting, lined with historical buildings and many sites of interest. Praça do Conselheiro Silva Torres is the main square in the old town and home to several of Caminha's most popular attractions.
A 16th century fountain that has since been moved and altered provides the main focus of the square, off which you'll find the iconic medieval clock tower. Climb to the top of the tower for a great view over the town before soaking up the atmosphere of the beautiful 16th century church, Igreja da Misericórdia. Finish off the afternoon with a coffee in one of the many terrace cafes in the square.
A little further down the Costa Verde coast from Caminha is Praia do Moledo, an extremely popular beach with tourists and locals alike. Sit and relax on the sands, cycle down paved pathways or get involved with a range of water sports. You can also take a short boat journey to the island that's home to the imposing Ínsua Fort.
