The room also boasts several sets of double French doors that lead to Juliette balconies, allowing abundant natural light and a refreshing breeze to permeate the space, making it feel like part of the city.

Adjacent to the seating area, an inviting dining set for four awaits and creates the perfect setting for enjoying a meal. Beyond that, a modern kitchen is well-equipped to prepare and cook a feast of Southern Spanish flavours on those evenings when staying in is more appealing than going out – though the allure of a Sevillian summer evening is undoubtedly hard to resist.

The apartment features two inviting bedrooms to accommodate up to four possible six guests (at full capacity, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room). The first bedroom is a luxurious double room with an ensuite bathroom featuring a rainforest shower for utmost relaxation. The second bedroom offers twin beds, providing comfortable sleeping arrangements for two within a simple yet welcoming room with great city views.

For convenience, an additional family bathroom is available, also fitted with a rejuvenating rainforest shower where guests can refresh and rejuvenate in this delightful space before embarking on the next instalment of their Seville adventures.

When staying in this part of Seville, an array of activities awaits. Discover the awe-inspiring Cathedral, wander through the enchanting Alcázar, or delve into the history of the Archivo de Indias. Indulge in the city's culinary delights by visiting local tapas bars, exploring the charming local shops, or simply taking leisurely strolls through the atmospheric streets, immersing oneself in the captivating ambience of Seville – the possibilities are almost endless. Still, this home makes for a great starting point.

With a prime location between Seville's Casco Antiguo (the Old Town) and San Bernardo, this home is nestled amongst some of the Andalusian capital's best and most beguiling sites and attractions.

Among the many highlights is the Museum of Fine Art (reachable in around 30 minutes on foot), where visitors can admire beautiful works from Spanish and global artists, and the sprawling Parque de María Luisa, Seville's largest green area, again located around a half hour walk away. Take a stroll along the Guadalquivir riverside, once a bustling trade route and now a popular hangout for locals and visitors alike that also acts as a gateway to the lesser-known Jardines del Guadalquivir.

In search of something to satisfy those tastebuds? When it comes to dining and drinking, Casco Antiguo is awash with options, offering a range of culinary experiences that includes everything from delicious Sunday brunches to traditional tapas, and, indeed, the neighbourhood is renowned for its vibrant tapas scene, with numerous traditional and more innovative tapas bars to explore. The atmospheric streets and squares provide a delightful setting to enjoy outdoor dining and experience the local cuisine in the company of locals and visitors alike. From traditional Andalusian dishes to international flavours, there is something for everyone.

Casco Antiguo, also known as the old town of Seville, is a particularly captivating part of the city located close to the centre on the east bank of the Guadalquivir River and encompassing several distinct neighbourhoods, each with its own unique character. One of the most famous neighbourhoods within Casco Antiguo is Barrio Santa Cruz: a charming area characterised by its narrow streets, picturesque squares adorned with fountains and orange trees, and vibrant tapas bars – all within easy reach from this apartment!

As the former Jewish Quarter, Barrio Santa Cruz is home to significant landmarks such as the grand gothic Cathedral of Seville, with its famous Moorish bell tower, La Giralda, and the opulent Real Alcázar Moorish fortress and palace. Visitors can also explore the Museo del Baile Flamenco, the fascinating flamenco museum and theatre that provides a fantastic insight into the history of this iconic and stirring Spanish dance.

Situated just north of Barrio Santa Cruz lies Barrio Alfalfa: a maze of narrow alleys, lively squares, and iconic sites. Plaza Alfalfa is its central hub, surrounded by popular cafes and restaurants. Among popular places to visit are the Plaza del Pan, home to a wealth of independent shops, and Plaza de la Pescadería, with its wide-open spaces and lively atmosphere. And Plaza del Cristo de Burgos, known for its lush greenery. One of the main attractions in Barrio Alfalfa is the stunning Casa de Pilatos, an elaborate Mudéjar-style Andalusian palace. The area also includes the trendy Soho Benita, which offers a collection of independent shops, boutiques, bars, and hotels popular among Seville's trendy, cosmopolitan set.

If staying in the area, don't miss the opportunity to visit the striking Metropol Parasol: the world's largest wooden structure that offers a panoramic view of the city. The neighbourhood is also home to the Museo de Bellas Artes, an art gallery housed in a former monastery which showcases works from prominent Sevillian artists like Murillo and Vazquez.

As the capital of Andalusia, Seville has a fascinating past that encompasses Roman, Moorish, and Christian influences, and, as such, the city is rich in history, culture, and gastronomical delights – while its varied historical heritage is evident in its myriad architectural marvels.

As one might expect in Spain, and particularly in a city as culturally eclectic as Seville, the yearly calendar is jam-packed with festivals, such as the Feria de Abril and Semana Santa (Holy Week), each of which showcases Seville's lively spirit and deeply rooted traditions. Sevillian cuisine is equally diverse and delicious, with tapas being a popular dining style. Visitors can savour local delicacies like gazpacho, salmorejo, pescaíto frito (fried fish), and – of course – the famous Seville oranges, which are used in various dishes and drinks and offer up a zesty hit of refreshment on hot Southern Spanish days.
