About this property

The striking, contemporary Villa Frares sits next to the shoreline in Mal Pas. It is a heavenly paradise offering sensational interior design, exceptional outdoor space and beautiful finishes. It can sleep up to 10 guests so is ideal for a large family, a multi-generational family, two families or a group of friends. Guests can enjoy plunging into the crystal clear turquoise waters from the rocks below the villa or can wander a couple of minutes along the shoreline to the two sandy, picturesque beaches of Mal Pas.

The picturesque marina of Bonaire is just a few minutes away along with restaurants, bars, a small supermarket and a dive school. A short drive will take you to Alcudia, Port d’Alcudia and Pollensa. It is a stunning location with sensational sea and mountain views. Across the Bay of Pollensa you can see the lighthouse of Formentor. Sitting on one of the three levels of terraces watching the sun go down is simply astonishing. The sky lit up in many shades or orange, pink and red is totally mesmerising.

Villa Frares boasts chic and sophisticated decor where dazzling white walls are blended with vibrant artworks, superb, trendy furnishings, attractive lighting and luxurious soft furnishings. The open plan living space enjoys a sensational double height aspect with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors drowning the space in natural light. The high spec kitchen at one end of the room is a chef’s dream with top notch appliances and a sociable island. The elegant dining space enjoys stunning garden and pool views. The lounge area is spectacular with huge sumptuous sofas, a gorgeous chandelier and a trendy shelf system. The master bedroom suite is also located on this floor with its comfy kingsize bed, direct access to the garden and its ensuite bathroom where you can soak with a glass of champagne in your hand captivated by the sea and mountain views. The master also boasts a sitting room which can be closed off, providing the fifth double bedroom with sofa bed which is extremely comfortable.

A striking floating staircase leads upstairs to a very glamorous study area with stunning, panoramic views of the whole of the Bay of Pollensa. You will also discover two further twin bedded rooms, both with ensuite shower rooms and terrace access. Both are heavenly retreats where you will not want to rush. The final bedroom is located in the next door annex. It also enjoys twin beds, an immaculate ensuite bathroom and extraordinary sea views.

Outside, the three levels of terraces are highly impressive. The lower level features a gorgeous lawned garden, the middle terrace is home to a sublime infinity pool, shaded alfresco dining and lounging and a sun deck. The higher terrace is the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks watching the sun go down. There is also a separate decked alfresco dining and barbecue area. It is very hard to leave this superb villa!

Villa Frares is located in the lovely resort of Mal Pas, just 100 metres from the fine sands of the two beaches, shops, restaurants and bars. Playa de Sant Pere and Playa de Sant Joan are both charming, peaceful beaches with fine sand and crystal clear water. With uninterrupted magnificent views to the stunning turquoise Bay of Pollensa and the Formentor peninsular from its seafront position, the location is hard to beat. Its backdrop of the dramatic Tramuntana mountain range just adds to the dreamy scenes. A few moments away, Bonaire boasts a picturesque marina, a scuba school, kayak hire, some fabulous bars and restaurants and a few shops.

The walled town of Alcudia and the fantastic beach resorts of Port d’Alcudia and Puerto Pollensa are just a short drive away. Port d’Alcudia is 4km away with its 7 mile long Blue Flag beach. Alcudia’s picturesque marina is the waterside setting for many bars and restaurants. It is a buzzy hub of activity with fun excursions run running from it including day trips to Menorca, dolphin watching tours and glass-bottomed boats. Alcudia Old Town is wonderfully atmospheric for an evening out. It is romantic and charming with its narrow cobbled streets, Romeo and Juliet balconies, cozy, authentic cafes, unique little boutiques, fantastic restaurants and tapas bars and its vibrant open-air market. Its Roman ruins and museum, just outside the walls, are very interesting. Just east of Alcudia Old Town at Playa de Muro, visitors can take SUP padding boarding or even yoga classes on the boards!

Pollensa and Puerta Pollensa are a short drive away. Pollensa is an ancient, charming, attractive, walled town with stunning architecture, modern art galleries, amazing shops, chic, delicious restaurants and a lively market. Puerto Pollensa is wonderful with its dazzling white sand and shallow, warm water. A little further on, Formentor is absolutely spectacular. The road to get there is a little hairy though so be prepared!

There are a number of vineyards around Mallorca where you can taste some delicious wines. Bodegas Can Vidalet at Pollensa and Bodega Butxet are excellent. The Mortitx winery, hidden off a winding road between Pollensa and Lluc, is a young and up-and-coming contender in the Balearic wine market. It is worth the navigating the hairpin bends of the Tramuntana mountain range to find it.
