The interior of this beautiful white-washed villa is modern and stylish throughout, with a light, neutral decor that perfectly showcases the colourful soft furnishings and contemporary-style design features. The large living area with its spot-lighted ceiling is bright and welcoming, featuring huge plump sofas, well-crafted furniture and a 75-inch flatscreen smart TV, perfect for a cosy evening’s entertainment with the whole family. There’s plenty of indoor dining space for everyone, with a large white dining table that can easily accommodate up to ten guests, and through large double doors, you can access the villa’s spacious and well-equipped kitchen. There’s ample room here for you and your guests to cook together without getting in each other’s way, and plenty of quality appliances such as an oven, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and dishwasher, as well as a washing machine and dryer - ideal for those who are enjoying an extended stay here at Villa Yaco.

The villa’s four bedrooms are bright and roomy, with a light grey and white decor and rich wooden accents. The master bedroom features a double bed, air-conditioning and stylish built-in wardrobes, as well as an ensuite bathroom for added convenience. The other three rooms share the same neutral decor, and all have well-spaced twin beds - ideal for children of most ages or groups of friends holidaying together. Guests staying in these rooms share a second bathroom with shower facilities.

The outdoor spaces at Villa Yaco are fabulous, consisting of a large terrace that features both a dining and barbecue area for alfresco meals and a covered chillout area which is fully furnished with comfortable lounge furniture - a great spot for enjoying after-dinner drinks and conversations as the sun goes down over the mountains. A wonderful addition that the kids will adore is the villa’s sandy ‘beach’ area, complete with loungers and little palm trees, and after a relaxing day of soaking up the sun, why not take a dip in the villa’s large private pool, before heading to the poolside sofa-swing to enjoy a glass of something bubbly as you take in the gorgeous atmosphere.

If you’re searching for a destination that promises a peaceful and relaxing island holiday away from noisy bars and clubs, a stay in the town of Arguineguin could be just what you’re looking for! Arguineguin is one of the largest towns in the south, with a wonderful local feel and a quieter atmosphere than the popular resorts of Maspalomas, Puerto Rico or Playa del Ingles.

One of the main beaches here in the town is Playa Las Maranuelas, famous for its beautiful sunsets and calm, clear waters. You can rent umbrellas and sunbeds here, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance from here, including the all-you-can-eat-style Restaurante El Marino, which serves fresh cooked-on-the-spot cuisine rather than buffet-style fare. Playa de Arguineguin is another beach well worth visiting and is one of the biggest attractions on the coast, especially as it is located close to the Arguineguin market, which is held here every Tuesday and is comprised of vendors and stalls that travels around the island on different days of the week. Here you can also enjoy spectacular sunsets, and on days of high visibility, it’s possible to see Mount Tiede in Tenerife. For families with young children, La Lajilla is the most popular beach in the town, thanks to its safe and sheltered location that keeps it protected from the waves and ocean currents and amenities such as showers, sunbeds and umbrellas.

Snorkelling excursions are very popular with visitors to the town, offering guests a three-hour experience that includes learning how to use the equipment and how to dive. Expert guides will lead you to the best spots, pointing out and identifying an array of local marine life - it’s an experience not to be missed. If you fancy seeing some of the local wildlife without getting your feet (too) wet, Oliver recommends a speed boat trip out to the open ocean, where you’ll be able to spot dolphins and whales in their natural environment. Most of these trips start from nearby Puerto Rico and include refreshments as well as a swim break for those who want to get out in the ocean.

Villa Yaco is a fantastic property with a private pool and capacity for up to 8 people in the heart of Cercados de Espino, in the town of Arguineguín. The villa is located after kilometer 9 of the Cercados de Espino general road, a valley halfway between the Pajar de Arguineguín area and the Soria dam where calm abounds and tranquility is breathed.
