Known for its captivating streets lined with historical monuments, sites of cultural significance, great restaurants, cafés, and bustling bars – not to mention shops and plenty of atmospheric laneways to peruse – Eixample's Sant Antoni neighbourhood encapsulates some of our very favourite things about the effervescent Catalan capital.
Offering a unique blend of old-world charm and trendy modernity, Sant Antoni offers the opportunity to experience both sides of Barcelona: from its rich and multi-layered history to its vibrant, exciting present. Explore the revitalised Mercat de Sant Antoni, indulge in a voyage of culinary discovery along Carrer Parlament, or slow down and soak up the atmosphere from a pavement-side table outside one of the many cafés, bars, and restaurants that populate this part of town.
The range of flavours to be found along these streets is genuinely staggering, mixing international influences with robust local favourites. If you're a fan of tapas, then you're in luck! These vibrant markets offer an array of fresh produce, seafood, and loads of local delicacies. The nearby sandy beach at Barceloneta offers a whole host of activities, from sunbathing and swimming to beach volleyball and water sports, ensuring endless entertainment for just about everyone.
