Start your day under the Spanish sun sipping on fresh orange juice that you made with local oranges from the market in the juicer at your villa. You could sit by the private pool, under the cabana, looking out over the stunning views of the valley. Or you could be curled up on one of the comfy chairs on the terrace that wraps around the house and has an equally breathtaking view. Really, there is no better way to start your day in Spain, especially when you are staying in the upmarket coastal town of Moraira.
This villa is the epitome of classic Spanish style, with the stucco-clad exterior with archways and a white balcony and the white interior with exposed beams and wooden finishings and furnishings. But as you enter the villa, it is the view that catches your eye and stops you in your tracks, and it is hard not to imagine yourself looking over this villa with the family, dining on paella or another local cuisine.
Feasts can be prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, which boasts an electric hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, coffee machine, toaster and juicer. These can then be enjoyed in the dining room or one of the three terraces, one of which is covered for all-year-round enjoyment. Not that this area often experiences rain, which is great for year-round travel. The large outdoor dining table seats ten, so everyone can join in.
After a long day, relaxing is exhausting. You can rest your head in one of the four bedrooms on offer. There is one bedroom with a double bed, two bedrooms with two single beds and one bedroom with three single beds in the form of bunk beds. To compliment so many rooms, there are two bathrooms to share, one bathroom with a single washbasin, shower and bidet and another with a single washbasin, bath and bidet.
Outside, the Spanish charm and luxury continue. Whether this is on the terraces that look out over the mountain or by the large private pool that has exquisite views, should you wish to stay outdoors as long as possible, and who would blame you, meals can be prepared on the barbeque and enjoyed outside.
All of this is located in a residential and mountainous area that is very close to restaurants and bars, shops and supermarkets and just two kilometres from El Portet beach and a little further from Ampolla beach, the main beach in Moraira.
As to be expected by the style and calibre of the villa, Moraira is one of the prettiest towns along the Costa Blanca. It is one of the most unspoilt resort areas along the Costa Blanca and boasts eight kilometres of beautiful coastline backed by mountains, which you overlook from the villa.
Wandering Moraira is a must, especially for foodies, and whether you enjoy one of the delicious restaurants or the weekly markets (Friday and Wednesday), there is plenty of local cuisines to feast on. We personally recommend dining at Restaurant El Chamizo, which has a brilliant sea view that you need to see when the sun is setting, or at Restaurante Vista Ifach, with its extensive menu!
The beaches are equally as beautiful, and some of the most renowned coves in Moraira include Playa Del Portet, a sandy beach with crystal clear waters and Playa L'Andragó, which boasts stunning views over to Calpe. The main beach, Playa l'Ampolla, is also a beautifully sandy beach with a playground and stream running through it that kids will love.
There are plenty of other coves and coastal towns along the Costa Blanca coastline that are worth a visit. Towns such as Denia, Javea and Calpe are within 30-40 minutes of Moraira. The nearest airport, Alicante, is just over an hour's drive from the villa and the second nearest airport, Valencia, is over 100 kilometres away.
