It is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The underfloor heating throughout the ground floor was very pleasant - on the verge of too hot even, but fairly easy to turn down - though that was because I knew how these type of things worked, I didn't come across any instructions. The kitchen had everything you could need including tea towels, oven gloves, washing up kit etc. I'd been really organised and brought my own as this isn't aways the case! But it was nice that they were there. The wifi was good enough to stream films over christmas, the location in Bourton was really good, just round the corner from the centre. And having a second sitting room was really nice when you wanted a bit of alone time. We were slightly concerned about the church bells. However i can report that they can't be heard at all in the two first floor bedrooms, only the second floor one, and they were not loud enough to wake you, but you would hear them if you were awake. I really liked them actually. The only negatives were the top bedroom was meant to have a king size bed but it was two singles pushed together (maybe zip and link, not sure), which wasn't as described and the person who used it really didn't want to be in a single bed. The listing should be updated to reflect this. Also the way the twin beds are set up, the bedroom door could not be closed. I had to push the bed by the door to a 30 degree angle to get the door to shut. This might be OK for a children's room but for two adults it would not be great. As I was in there on my own, it wasn't too bad. The shower on the first floor was very pleasant but as it was a waterfall shower it was difficult to use if you weren't washing your hair, which my elderly father wasn't too keen on. It would have been nice to have a second smaller shower head that could be removed from the wall as well. And the shower on the top floor leaked on to the floor the way the doors shut - however it was easy enough for the water to be mopped up. As I said earlier, I didn't find instructions (this may have been me missing them) for appliances or the heating, which would have been helpful. Every brand is slightly different, although most of it is fairly obvious. The microwave took the most working out! The notes haven't been updated since covid so these could be looked at again. Eg we were meant to put linen in provided bags - but there weren't any. Assume no longer required, but is it still required to strip the beds? Not sure. However I could happily have stayed in this lovely cottage - probably forever! We really did enjoy our stay and would thoroughly recommend it - we are a family of 3 adults. I've been on holiday with Sykes before and as always they are easy to deal with, the process is easy, and they respond quickly - a good company.

The church bells were beautiful to hear but not noisy. Great location for walking. The directions for finding the key lock needs to be greatly improved. I could not find it in the dim light and rain and had to call, not all OS travelers have this ability. Where it was located was overgrown and I had to get on my hands and knees to access it. If this was my mother this would have been an impossible feat. The information in the apartment in regards to rubbish and what is required on checkout is very out of date and confusing depending on which one you read.
