Even though the cottage is next to a dairy farm, there was very little noise. The location is a good jumping off point for the National Park and the local facilities are good. Wirksworth is a lovely little town with plenty of interesting nooks and crannies. All this and a Victoria sponge too!

Everything is finished to a very good standard & the kitchen equipment is really good & plenty of glasses etc. of a good size are provided. Could not fault this at all. As we commented in the visitor book the downside for us was the water booster pump. This is loud & if someone gets up to use the facilities in the night it does disturb sleep because when you flush the toilet and wash your hands the pump goes. The bathroom taps are also not ideal as they are too small for the sink & the water runs so close to the back of the sink. The main bedroom window latch also needs tightening. The dishwasher was low on salt & rinse aid and none provided - which we understand why - but this does need checking & refilling when asking people to put this on before they finish their stay. We would recommend the property & would stay again.
