In Lincolnshire, there is a lovely market town called Alford. About 11 miles to the northwest of the seaside resort of Skegness, it is situated at the base of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A wide variety of stores are present, including a pharmacy, a grocery store, two butchers, and a sizable store that specialises in doll houses and their accessories. Alford has grown to be a significant arts and crafts hub thanks to the numerous markets that take place there all year long. Every Tuesday and Friday, the major market is held in the Market Place. Additionally, there are annual Christmas markets and an August Bank Holiday craft market. The Grade 1 listed functioning windmill in Alford is famous for producing stone-ground organic flour for industry. With its museum, exhibitions, tearoom, and open gardens, Alford Manor House serves as the town's focal point.

All dressed for Christmas with a thoughtful welcome hamper. The cottage has everything you may need and is close to local amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and visiting the seals.

The cottage was clean with nice furniture, good quality beds , no clutter, just fresh and cosy. Well pleased and I have been to many cottages over the years.

Welcome pack was a bonus. Only minor issue was one of the kitchen bins seemed impossible to remove so was difficult to empty and clean. Also given that we had to be out by 10am it would have been nice to be able to leave dishes in the dishwasher to run after we'd left.
