Take a break in the lovely Nottinghamshire village of Wellow with an abundance of things to see and do in close proximity. Enjoy the delights of Sherwood Forest, whether its walking the trails, cycling the tracks or swinging from the trees at Go Ape, the forest offers something for everyone. A country lane drive away is Rufford Abbey a charming country estate with acres to explore, a lovely large lake to amble round and the all important ducks and other wildlife to feed. On the same country lane sporting golfers have everything they need at Rufford Park Golf and Country Club, and for those wanting to completely relax there is the Forest Spa at Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest a hop, skip and a jump away. Take a trip to the historic town of Southwell, enjoy tea and take time to visit the marvelous Minster. A little further afield, Lincoln and Newark host an array of independent shops and eateries, surrounded by historic charm, and each boasting a castle and at Lincoln a Cathedral. Wellow lies in the 'Dukeries' the name given to the area encompassing the estates of four dukes Clumber, Rufford, Thoresby and Welbeck. You will also find a badminton and boules set in Wisteria's cloakroom which are great for enjoying summer days on the lawn.
