Colemans Farm Barn is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its beautiful location, spaciousness, and peaceful environment. The property is appreciated for its comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, and the warmth of a wood burner. The surrounding countryside offers lovely walks and the nearby village of Finchingfield adds charm with its pubs and tea rooms. While some guests noted issues with sofa comfort and cleanliness, the majority had a positive experience and would return.
Most guests found the property to be clean and well-kept, though there were a few mentions of specific items needing more attention, such as the cooker and the wood stove. The positive remarks suggest that cleanliness is generally maintained, but there is room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its quietness, proximity to attractive villages, and the beauty of the Essex countryside. The ease of access to local amenities and the rural charm contribute to a high score in this category.
Guests enjoyed the comfortable beds and the cosy atmosphere provided by the wood burner. However, several reviews mentioned that the sofas were uncomfortable, particularly for elderly guests, which suggests that while the property is generally comfortable, some furnishings could be improved.
The property is well-equipped for cooking and offers ample space and parking. Guests appreciated the presence of a real Christmas tree and wellies for walks. Some minor issues were raised regarding maintenance and the need for better cleaning tools, but overall, the facilities were well-received.
While guests mentioned thoughtful touches like the provision of wellies and a decorated Christmas tree, there is not enough consistent information about gifts or additional thoughtful gestures to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such extras are not guaranteed.

They're obviously needing replacement as they are very hard and low to get up from. There were several minor issues , the cooker needed a good clean as it smelt horribly of burnt fat when used. Mugs chipped and left dirty( I know this is not the fault of the owner) No bread knife , I was offered replacement or refund, decided to purchase as did not want to wait, have left it in house. The electric radiators in bathrooms, we could not find how to turn them on but as it was warm we did not worry. Only one lot of hanging rails in bedrooms and no storage in the twin room. The garden was surrounded by huge nettles so access to the wood was difficult. Our dog did manage to explore a little. The gutters overflow in heavy rain so using the kitchen exit was impossible There have been several comments made by other visitors in the visitors book but these have not been read. This was a very attractive property but needs some love .

Not far from Cambridge and from Stagnated Airport. All as described, beds were comfortable, a lot of space inside and outside. Recommended. One slight minus - no BBQ. But the kitchen is lovely and well equipped.
