With its reverse-level layout, the heart of the home can be found on the first floor, with an impressive picture window featured to make the most of the treetop views. The open-plan living room, comes with a fully-functioning kitchen, where the chef of the group will be delighted in cooking up a storm for the family, which can be enjoyed at the formal dining table or upon the large balcony, for a spot of alfresco dining, a great opportunity to catch the sun setting over the trees. Afterwards, snuggle up on the sofa and flick through the channels of the TV to unwind for the evening, or delve into that book that you have been meaning to read. Alternatively, escape the hustle and bustle of the group and run yourself a bath so you can enjoy a moment’s peace of quiet before catching your rest in one of the two well-presented bedrooms. For an evening’s entertainment, be sure to catch a film at the 100-year-old Alhambra or at the 400-seat Theatre by the Lake on the shores of Derwentwater, which is considered the most beautiful and most friendly theatre in Britain. During the daytime, you can hop on board one of the regular cruises Derwentwater, where you have the opportunity to visit the National Trust owned 18th century house or don your walking boots to walk onto the fells; Cat Bells, Skiddaw, Coledale Horeshoe and Blencathra, which are all nearby. Other attractions here including paying a visit to Honister Slate Mines, mountain biking in Whinlatter Forest or brushing up on the local history further by discovering the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Alternatively, take a scenic car journey to Ullswater, where you will find further lake cruises, more walking opportunities and the beautiful Aira Force Waterfall, or you could head even further to Scafell Pike, which is England’s highest peak. Keswick is a market town resting at the North of the Lake District, situated just 16.6 miles away from Ullswater.
