We enjoyed our stay at squirrel cottage the property itself was spotless beds were comfortable view was stunning the only downsides were parking that was a bit of a mission if you have a large vehicle the pub was a bit far for me as I can't walk very far so we had to get taxis there and back I would not return for those reasons but for anyone who can walk and doesn't mind the tight parking I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage it's a lovely property

The location was excellent and the views from the open conservatory were out of this world. Check in went very smoothly and the cottage was very clean and tidy when we got there. Plenty of pots and pans in the kitchen, games and puzzles and a lovely log burner to relax in front of. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs to play in. Lots of clean towels available and the beds were very comfortable. The hot water tank was a little noisy in the middle of the night but nothing we couldn’t deal with. The only downside to the stay we feel was the check out time. We think 9am is a little early to have everything packed and the cottage clean and tidy especially with little ones in tow. Overall it was an excellent stay and we will be returning.

We were there on a very cold, wet week and the heating was very efficient. The cottage is well placed for getting to lots of popular places in the Lakes. One warning, we arrived in the dark and rain and drove past as the name sign at the top of the drive wasn't obvious against the wall.
