Situated between Windermere and Morecambe Bay, the picturesque hamlet of Witherslack makes a wonderful base for exploring the beautiful countryside of south Cumbria. Walkers, nature lovers and cyclists can head to Bigland Barrow and Fell Foot (both 9 miles) on the edge of Windermere. There are some wonderful nature reserves to explore, including Foulshaw Moss, Meathop Moss Nature Reserve and Whitbarrow National Nature Reserve (all within 2.5 miles). Other local attractions and landmarks include Sizergh Castle (5 miles), Levens Hall (6.5 miles) and Holker Hall and Gardens (9.5 miles). The pretty market town of Cartmel (7.5 miles) and the coastal village of Grange over Sands (6.5 miles) have a great range of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and friendly pubs to unwind in. A few steps lead up and into this breezy and welcoming property, with the ground floor porch providing a useful space for leaving coats and boots.
