A number of National Trust properties and water sports are also available to thrill-seekers in the area. A visit to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness will delight children, while the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick, and the Lakeland Mountains are all easily accessible.
