About this property

This Victorian, mid-terrace house of Beckmead rests in Windermere, Cumbria and is perfect for families to come and enjoy some time away together.

The house accommodates a group of six and has been very thoughtfully decorated, with a pet-friendly policy in place to make it easy for you to bring your four-legged friends along for holidays with you.

Upon arrival, you will find that the house has on-street parking and free parking in a nearby car park to make it easy for you to arrive and get settled in.

Make your way inside to be welcomed by one of two fabulous sitting areas, the first of which is a sitting room enjoying sumptuous décor, a glowing electric fire, and a Smart TV.

The other is a snug that can be found at the rear of the property, and is the perfect spot for teens, thanks to its plush seating and 65" Smart TV!

When you're feeling peckish, head to the brand-new fitted kitchen, a well-presented space enjoying matt units and integrated appliances.

Once a mouth-watering meal has been fixed up here, bring it over to the tastefully furnished dining room, where a table for six awaits; an electric fire warms up the space, giving it the perfect ambiance for a family meal!

When night falls, venture to the first floor to find one of the three lovely bedrooms inhabiting the house, comprising a king-sized bed and en-suite shower room. Progress upstairs again to find two further bedrooms, one with a king-sized zip/linked bed, as well as a basin, en-suite shower room and TV, the other a double bed, en-suite shower room and TV.

Behind the property lies a charming enclosed yard with a table and seating for six, where you can escape for a bit of quiet time in the morning with a steaming cup of coffee in hand!

Embark on a short walk into the centre of Windermere and spend the day exploring the attractions of The World of Beatrix Potter and the Windermere Jetty Museum; alternatively, you can embark on walks along Queen Adelaide's Hill and Orrest Head Viewpoint, both of which are areas showcasing the best of Windermere's views.

Why not spend the day at Lake Windermere, where Miller Ground and Hodge Howe offer fantastic water sports opportunities, and a ferry from Bowness-on-Windermere lets you sail across the water to the sights of Far Sawrey.

Be sure to travel to Ambleside, a town steeped in history, which you can learn of at the Ambleside Roman Fort, before visiting the fantastic Stagshaw Gardens or hiking towards Stock Ghyll Force or Wansfell Pike.

The local area is home to so much more to see, from the sights of Rydal to the bustling town of Kendal; you'll rarely lack things to do!

It was perfect for us, great house, spacious, clean, warm and well equipped, we loved everything about it. Lovely welcome pack on arrival which we thought was a nice touch Great location to walk into Windermere or Bowness We had the best time and hope to book again towards the end of the year.

The house itself is really nice inside, the two reception rooms were great, especially with kids. Really nice lounge, dining room and kitchen. Showers were good. The only negative was the double bed in the Jacob room was a small double and I didn’t find it very comfortable. Also the lock mechanism on the front door was a bit dodgy and came loose but I did manage to screw it back on. Would definitely recommend this house.
