The interior has been thoughtfully designed to suit family living with an open-plan lounge and dining room. The kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering holiday and for those looking to eat out there is a renowned pub, the Dabbling Duck, within easy walking distance, along with a village store, butchers shop, pub and a tea shop. Off-road parking can be found at the front of the cottage and further parking on the roadside if required; there is an outbuilding to store bikes and golf clubs during your stay! This also contains a fridge/freezer for easy access to the wine and ice cream while enjoying the sun. When the evening draws to a close, retreat to the ground-floor bathroom to freshen up with a soak in the tub or revitalising shower, before ascending to the first floor to choose from one of three neatly-presented bedrooms including a king-size, double and a twin, to rest your head in. If you like your stately homes you can visit beautiful National Trust properties such as Oxborough Hall, along with Houghton Hall and Gardens, boasting 1000-acres where you can embark on a scenic stroll; close by, you can also enjoy a tour around Castle Acre Priory, the stunning Sandringham Estate and Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve. For sport enthusiasts, Great Massingham tennis club is open to non-members, whilst also home to snooker and a good value bar. Horse riding is available in Grimston, whilst there are some tremendous golf courses within easy reach, including King's Lynn superb woodland course, while there are championship links courses at Hunstanton and Brancaster. For avid walkers and cyclists, the old Roman road Peddars Way, which is now a long-distance footpath is a very short distance from the cottage, whilst for bird lovers Snettisham, Holme and Titchwell, are home to three renowned RSPB nature reserves attracting keen bird watchers every year. If you like older periods of history, two fantastic English Heritage castles are nearby to discover, Castle Acre and Castle Rising, both excellent examples of Norman fortifications; whilst there is also a wonderful ruined Abbey at Castle Acre. Travel further to the historic town of Kings Lynn which is probably the easiest place to come by train, along with the lovely cities of Norwich, Cambridge and Ely. Whether you want to explore the local, pretty villages of Norfolk, head for the countryside, tour historic sites, take to the coast, or feast at the many restaurants in the area, Fieldview Cottage is for you.

Great Massingham, which is only 13.7 miles from the market town of King's Lynn, is located inside the gorgeous county of Norfolk and is regarded as one of the most beautiful spots in the area. The Village Hall, which has a warm sense of community, as well as a Post Office, a store, and The Dabbling Duck bar, where you may sample locally sourced food—often from the owner's own land—are located in the centre of the village. A short drive will take you to King's Lynn, where you can look forward to exploring the cobblestone streets dotted with historic buildings or making your way to the Vancouver Quarter for a more contemporary retail experience. The Blue Flag beach in North Norfolk, which includes Sheringham and Cromer beach, is one of the attractions further away.

All the bedding was fresh, duvets and pillows felt brand new. The kitchen was well equipped even with all the cleaning materials you would need, including dishwasher and washing machine tablets. The kitchen and bathroom could do with a refresh. Overall, a pleasant stay, with a few tweaks could be excellent.

The garden was well enclosed and the extra fridge and freezer in the outhouse was a welcome bonus. Beds were comfy, wifi worked well. Owner very helpful. All good
