It’s located in Beeston (home to a friendly pub and a great local brewery), which is an excellent base from which to explore Norfolk. The market towns of Swaffham, Fakenham and Dereham are all within 10.5 miles, while historic King’s Lynn, once one of England’s most important ports, is only 20 miles. The Sandringham Estate is 18 miles away, and Wells-next-the-Sea is just 1.5 miles further. If you feel like more days at the coast, Hunstanton, Brancaster, Blakeney, Sheringham and Cromer are all within 30 miles, while the capital of the county, Norwich, is only 27.5 miles. If you’re staying at Christmas, head to Thursford, 16.5 miles, for its unmissable ‘Christmas Spectacular’.

Although next to the owner’s house, the property has been purpose-built with privacy and ease of use in mind. Park on the shared, gravelled driveway, where a gently sloping ramp leads up to the front door. From the entrance hall, head through to the bright, open-plan living space, with its beamed, apex ceiling. This is a lovely spot in which to relax on the comfortable seating, gazing out at the garden or enjoying a show on the Smart TV. The kitchen at one end includes everything the chef of the holiday will need to prepare delicious snacks and meals, and there’s a dining table for two where you can enjoy them. Head back down the hall to find the super-king-size bedroom and the adjacent wet room, where there’s a shower seat and grab rails for those who need them.

The private, enclosed garden is reached via French doors in the lounge area – where there is a low threshold. With decorative pots and a covered bench seat, this is a lovely spot in which to grab some fresh air.
